I just returned from a long weekend trip to Greenville. Some friends of mine had told me about the Lost Cajun. This was the first place we visited after checking in at the hotel. Was not disappointed. Thursday visit is a must if you are looking for oysters on the half shell, $1.00 each. Good oysters from the gulf. My wife had the catfish plate. Way more than she could eat. Enough for two. I recommend sitting at the bar if Courtne is working. Very friendly and very knowledgeable of things to do and see in Greenville. Visited every day we were there. I failed to mention, Cortne was very cute.

Amazing food and flavors had a great server name Tana. She gave us excellent recommendations from the menu. We had there crab bite and gators bites and shrimp and grits the first time and it was amaze balls. So we went back before we left unfortunately they were out of my crab bites but still had gator bites so I was still happy to be back and we tried this thing called a sampler and it had different soups and gumbo and all were very tasty. Our favorites was the Crawfish etouffee and chicken and sausage jambalaya. I got some items to go back home with since it's not that far of a drive home. So I can't wait to try the cat-touffee and of had to get some beignets for dessert. Thank you guys for everything and I will definitely be dining here again when I come back in town. Big special Thank you to Tana ask for her as your server you won't have to ask her for anything my drink was never low she brought extra napkins and checked on us frequently to make sure we did not need anything.

First trip to the Lost Cajun Greenville Downtown. Excellent server and exceptional food. Our server was Tana and she was great to recommend appetizers, entrees and deserts. The best shrimp and grits and the best red beans we have ever had! We will return.

Was in town for two nights. Spent both nights filling up on the food and atmosphere. Only reason I didn't go to lunch there on Saturday was because lunch was provided as part of event I was attending in hotel. A few of my friends went mid-afternoon and made the dinner trip their 3rd and 4th visit (they didn't have my number to call for that mid-afternoon visit). Great flavor to the food and excellent personable service. First night I had Fettucini alfredo with shrimp; seafood gumbo; fried okra. Second night 10-Shrimp platter with cajun fries; red beans and rice; fried okra (yepp). I couldn't eat the fries on that second night. Maybe should've had a cup of red beans instead of bowl. Healthy servings all around. No one in our group looked at someone else's plate with regret. Wonderful bartenders. 2 BURPS UP

This place is nice, very nice. The food and value is above average, but the ambiance really makes this place (sometimes the music doesn't fit the cajun theme) And the waitstaff makes me feel good! I have gotten to know three of them (one since left) and they are all friendly and knowledgeable. I generally go for a late lunch when business is slow, but I can't imagine Tatiana or Sasha not being on top of their game when rushed. OK, to the food - they have a sampler flight of six of their more popular dishes (gumbo, etouffee, red beans, etc.) that just makes it harder to pick. Try the shrimp and grits, or the Cat-touffee. And don't ever fail to try their appetizers or sides, I could make a meal of them. What is not to like? If you are steak and potatoes or elegant with finger bowls, and there are no hamburgers or chicken fingers on the menu.

Three of us ate here. They brought a tray with a small sample of their Cajun offerings. I chose a fried oyster appetizer and a bowl of lobster bisque (I really like it). Everything we sampled was very good, so choosing what to order was difficult. But the lobster bisque stood out as the best.

How can I describe the perfect lunch ...The Lost Cajun says it all. We arrived soon after the restaurant opened, and were offered one of the 2 window tables. Great view of downtown. Our waiter, Strange , as he is called, took our order, brought us our beverages, cooked our lunch to perfection, and served it with the most friendly welcoming smile found in Greenville. The seafood gumbo is loaded with shrimp, savory, with just the right kick. I ordered the Catfish plate. Delicately fried, served with mildly seasoned fries, and the most unusual slaw. Sweet tea complilemented the meal, garnished with the biggest lemon wedges I have ever seen. Since they were not very busy yet, we were free to chat with Strange. The catfish is farmed, so does not have the usual muddy flavor. That is a plus for my husband. The slaw, made on the premises, does not have vinegars, so there is no twang at all. When Strange realized we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were offered a Beignet. Yummy ending to a fabulous meal. All in all, great experience.

My husband had a craving for some good NOLA cooking and found this restaurant during our day outing with our daughter. First of all, as soon as you sit down you get a sampler. Everything tasted fresh and awesome and I almost said one of everything. Our table ordered Red beans and rice, jambalaya, chicken fingers (for the child) and boudin balls. I’m pretty sure I closed my eyes on several bites to savor the awesomeness. Our waitress was phenomenal and read my mind. If you don’t order the beignets, you are missing out in deliciousness and grunts of pure satisfaction. We will be back for great food, great atmosphere, and great service.

I have eaten at The Lost Cajun in Texas and Colorado with good experiences. This was the same. Service was great and I could not eat all of my food due to very large portions. Very good flavor and quality of food.

This place must have gone downhill since the last reviews. Our food was average at best and the crawfish dish and pie smelled horrible and we sent it back. The fried seafood platter was actually pretty good with a light batter. The red beans and rice and jambalaya tasted like refried beans. The lobster bisque was good. The blackened catfish had hardly any taste.

If you like seafood, you have to visit this place when you are nearby. We went to Greenville for one night trip and found this place via Tripadvidor. So glad we went. 1. Located on a nice and cozy downtown street. 10 min walk from the river. It is a quick walk. 2. Very casual 3. Foods delicious! Had a fish sandwich plate and lobster bisque. 4. priced reasonably. 5. Nice service. We got a small free sampler place first so you can taste and decide what to order. Highly recommend.

We dined here with another couple friends of ours and loved it. Dined on a Friday night around 6:15pm. Seated immediately in the back of the restaurant. The 3 of them all went with shrimp n grits. I ordered the fried fish that was a $20 special that allowed me to pick a couple of additional sides. I chose fried okra and rice n beans. My meal also included fries and slaw. We all loved our food. The server suggested beignets for dessert. We chose 2 of the cinnamon filled ones. Delicious !!! Service was friendly and spot on. Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. We all agreed that we will be returning.

Wife and I tried this place for lunch today (11/18/2022). We're new to the area and are trying to eat everywhere. We had fried pickles appetizer, she had Crawfish Etouffee and I had the Shrimp & Grits. All were very good. If it's your first time here, they give you a small sampler of 6 of their dishes, but it's just a little taste, so we still wanted the pickles. We got an order of beignets (3 big ones) for dessert, which was too much for just the 2 of us. They have a "beignet bites" menu item which might be more manageable. We got there right at noon and no waiting. Place filled up pretty fast after that though, and it's not very big inside. Server, "Mykeiah" was a real sweetheart too.

Rachael was a true server. She greeted us and listened to our needs. I am a bone marrow transplant patient and she made sure I felt safe in my seating. She was attentive to our needs. The food was EXCELLENT. The crawfish etouffee and gumbo bowls were delicious. The restaurant ambiance was totally New Orleans. Excellent place to have a good New Orleans evening. Don't forget the beignet!

Dropped by here on a whim with my mother in law for lunch. It was tastefully decorated with quick service/food and was easily one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever seen. The cocktails were perfect, staff friendly, and I’ve never had such authentic Cajun food anywhere outside of Louisiana. 11/10 experience.
