We took some out of town company to this bistro for lunch as we wanted them to see the lovely river view. We had a nice outdoor patio table, which was our preference during covid times. The serving staff were wearing masks. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and our meal was perfect from start to finish. The menu offers some nice choices at a decent price points given the location and quality of food. This bistro is a pleasant spot to enjoy fresh air and nice weather, plus you can easily take a stroll by the river after your meal. We will come back again to try the dinner menu. This is a popular place so I suggest a reservation.

Passerelle French Bistro is lcoated right by Liberty Bridge and some tables overlook Reedy Falls. I'd definitely recommend eating on the patio if weather permits. We made dinner reservations at Passerelle and were excited to try it after reading the reviews. The location is perfect and the service was nice too. Our issue was the food quality. My son and I each had the Bistro Burger. It was like a mass produced, frozen patty and overcooked. My brother had the Steak Frites. The steak he received was so small, he literally ate it in three bites. The fries, also frozen and nothing special. He ended up getting pizza on our way home because he was still hungry, absolutely not worth the $27 they charged. My sister-in-law had the Duck Cassoulet. It was a duck leg, she had to saw away at it to get the meat from the bone. It was like duck jerky. We saw others return it but only after she had ordered it. Artichoke salad had barely any artichokes in it. Passerelle has a small menu, which is fine but if you're going to offer such a small menu, make sure the items you offer are up to par. Overall, we were very disappointed with our meal. It's a great location but that's about it.

My hubby and I took a day trip to Greenville today. We've been cooped up since March due to the Covid 19 virus. This was our first meal at a restaurant since the pandemic hit and it was a perfect choice. The availability of outside, distanced dining on the banks of the Reedy River was just what we needed. It was a hot day, but the the outdoor area is well shaded and there was a gentle breeze. Our waitress, Whitney, was a delight - both friendly, efficient, and masked! I opted for the Croque Monsieur and my hubby got his standard, the Angus beef burger (medium rare). Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. The frites were also superb with a slightly spicy remoulade sauce for dipping. I thought the price for a glass of Chardonnay was a little pricey at $11, but not insanely so. The cost for our lunch, with 20% tip was $57. We enjoyed every bite! I would like to go back for the weekend brunch. It sounds like it's worth the 2 hour drive to get there.

Very good social distancing. Menu left much to be desired. Had the grillled ham and cheese. The SEE THRU one ham slice did not even cover the bread. The cheese inside was so melted you did not see it. Ordered a glass of house Cab....$16. This was a shocker. One of our group of 3 ordered a Lemon Drop drink and it was so bitter she had to send it back. The waitress said shall I put more lemonade in it....a lemon drop is not made with lemonade. 2nd was so better and had to change drink orders. We were there 5/25 and between the three of us spent close to $150 The atmosphere was nice, but doubt we will ever return.

Host was not friendly. Server was great and super nice. Miguel, the manager was a complete jerk! My mom ordered the Croque Madame and the bread came out charred black on the sides and the inside of the bread was super soggy. Also, this is how the manager brought the dish out. When the server came back to the table after the food was delivered, I mentioned that I was shocked that they brought my mom's sandwich out looking the way it did. She had the manager come back over and I told him the same, I'm shocked that you brought the food out looking like this. He says, this is how they are made and how the dish should be. I tell him that I've been to France and numerous French restaurants in Charlotte and I have never seen this dish look like this. He says, well we aren't France or Charlotte. I thought, ok wow, maybe if you tried to be the best French restaurant you could, then this wouldn't look like a piece of charcoal. Anyways, he offers to get her something else, but by this time, we have seen another table that had issues with their food have to get up and take their plate inside, because no one came to help. Then the food never came back out and her guest had to finish her food by herself. After seeing that, my mom did not want to have to wait that long for another dish and then eat it by herself, so she declined and just tried to tolerate it. She was only able to eat 1/2 of the sandwich because it was so bad. I finally tasted it and it was pretty disgusting. I mentioned this to the server and she was extremely apologetic and said she would see what she could do about the dish. Apparently, the manager was not willing to do anything, even though my mom was only able to eat 1/2 of her dish. He came back out to discuss this with us and said he was not going to take anything off the bill. I asked him, you're really not even willing take $7 off the bill (1/2 of the cost of that 1 sandwich) and we just part ways, and he wasn't willing to do anything. He even brought me the owner’s card to call him because he was not budging on trying to figure out a solution. So, I called the owner, he doesn't answer, but does text me back. The owner speaks with the manager, they take the $7 off the bill, we pay and leave. The owner said he would like to call me after the weekend (which would have been 5/17/21) to follow-up with the experience, but of course, I haven't heard a single thing from him. If you want a restaurant that wants you to have a good customer experience, that strives to be proud of the food/dishes they are serving, and takes accountability when things go wrong, this is NOT your place. Definitely do not recommend and will not be back.

Visiting Greenville my friend suggested Passerelle. We arranged a table on the patio with a view of the river and falls, quite an aesthetic setting. I had a brunch-type breakfast that included potato croquettes which I haven't seen on any other breakfast menu before. They were excellent along with the rest of the meal. Even though the outdoor temperature was in the high 50s, the heaters warmed pleasantly.

I have seen some not so good reviews lately.... but we tried at Passerelle Bistro anyways. I can tell you we got some of the best food and great service (thanks Maddie!!) we have had for a restaurant in a long time! Two of us had the duck, and two of us had the Seared Trout. The duck was very tasty and not dried out like we get so many times! and the Trout -- just the best trout meal I have ever had - complimented the cook personally like he so richly deserved. And the service was quick, responsive, friendly. I highly recommend Passerelle Bistro for a good meal, great service and wonderful ambiance.

Visited for brunch on Sunday morning - first time here and found the service and food fantastic. Steak and eggs with potato hash came with a spicy hash that complimented the tender steak cooked exactly to order. The Bouillabaisse was filled with fish, shrimp, mussels, garlic and a beautiful sauce. I had a $5 Bloody Mary that beat the $10 ones I am normally served in other restaurants. Pair all this with the best location right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

My wife and I are moving to Greenville in a few months and we visited this lovely bistro on a beautiful sunny day. We sat outside and the meal was great except for one small boo-boo. I had the mussels which were excellent but one was unopened. The waiter looked at me when I mentioned this issue as if I had 3 heads. When I said that I was surprised the chef would even serve an unopened mussel, there was no apology or offer to adjust the bill. I know it is hard to get wait staff at all albeit educated ones.

We happened to stop by on Bastille Day and they were offering several specials. We opted for the mussels and frites which were very tasty. Service was very friendly including seeing that our dog had plenty of ice water to drink. The location was great and we enjoyed our lunch on the large outdoor patio.

We mostly chose this place for lunch due to its location / view. We had seen it during walks through the park, but happened to be back in the area for lunch. The first challenge here is parking. This is more of a walk-up restaurant. There are somewhat pricey lots nearby off Main Street. If you are willing to walk a bit further (maybe 3 - 4 blocks), there are lots that charge only $1 per hour (that was where we wound up). There was also at least one free lot, but it was full. We did not check out their interior dining options, as my wife wanted to sit on the patio for the view. It was a bit cooler than we thought, but we had jackets. You can see the river and the far bank, and you can hear the falls. You can also people-watch the trail just below the restaurant. I will confess to not being a huge fan of French food, so I wound up just getting a salad for lunch. However, my wife enjoyed her chicken salad croissant. Service was quite good. I would rate this place higher, but it really just wasn't 'for me'. Others may like it more. I wasn't dissatisfied with my lunch, but if I got to choose, I'm not sure I'd go back.

Today March 4, a sunny Thursday about 1 pm. We had a dog with us, so we needed to sit outside— but with such a nice day there was no issue. Waited 30 minutes for a table, then were led to a small table without a sun umbrella, near a cleaning station. There were 4 other tables vacant at the time, but had not yet been cleared. It seems that the hostess was also responsible for clearing tables, and she was in no mood to receive our request to wait a while longer to get a table with an umbrella that would shield us from the sun.....and away from the clearing station. Her terse response suggested that we take the table— or leave! Overall, This is an excellent location, and the food is well above average, but because of our ornery hostess we were left feeling slighted. Two of the very same tables that we were denied access to, were left vacant for the balance of our meal. There are so many other nice spots along the Reedy, so please go elsewhere. ...we will.

I hosted my niece's Bridesmaids Luncheon here at the end of August. I had worked months prior with Jenifer - she made it so easy to select food choices, table linens, and floral decorations. She also recommended that we have a Charm Cake for dessert which was a big hit for the bridesmaids and a new experience for them. At the end of August it was HOT! But the fans and beverages helped a lot. All of the food items were excellent and plentiful. With the heat and all I'd eaten, I wasn't really in the mood for a white cake dessert, but OMG this was the best white cake I have ever tasted - so light and flavorful!

We had a terrific brunch while our granddaughter and friend explored Falls Park and the Reedy River. The Passerelle is perfectly situated at Falls Park with wonderful views of the waterfall, flowers on the side of the hill in Falls Park and people watching. Highly recommend a brunch on Sunday - when the sun is shining. Each of the brunch dishes looked delicious. Ours were French Croissants that we’re so fresh you thought they had just been baked and tasted better than the ones we had in Paris, France

My husband and I go to Greenville, SC, occasionally for an overnight trip, which we did recently (08/27-28/2022). We usually love to go to Passerelle before we head home because we enjoy the atmosphere outside and love the croissants with fruit. We ordered the croissants and I also ordered a salad and a mimosa, and my husband an espresso. When the food arrived I was a bit taken aback by the appearance of the croissants. Something was off. I wish I had taken photos. They looked like yeast rolls somewhat shaped to look like croissants. They were not flaky on the outside at all and looked just like a yeast roll. We tasted one. Just like a yeast roll. I spoke to our very nice server explaining we always eat the croissants and are disappointed. She said, "yeah, when they run out of croissants, they just substitute these". We sent them back. If a place is out of something, they should inform the guest, not try to sell a fake.
