We ate at Portofino's for the 1st time Saturday. Upon entering, we noticed the girl that was sitting at the front, taking names, was very rude and not very welcoming (not a great way to greet customers). Next, after we sat down, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table. Next, after we placed our order. We waited about 15 minutes before we received the salad and rolls. It was only about 3 minutes that we received our food after receiving our salad, which we did not get to enjoy, since we did not want our food to get cold. Our waitress never came back, except to ask if we wanted dessert and to bring our bill. We would have liked more rolls, wine and water. On a positive note, the food was great but not sure we will return after the service was so bad.

Excellent Italian food. Wow Portofino’s is outstanding. I enjoyed a nice Merlot followed by their house salad which was very fresh and flavorful. The garlic rolls are soft and buttery and delicious. My server Jamie recommended Tortellaci and it was tremendous. Price is very good for the amount and quality of food. I will be definitely be back.

Sat at the bar. Service was top notch. Vodka Martini was perfectly made. Portofino Salad was exactly as represented and very good. And, stuffed artichoke hearts were amazing, as was the Steak Gorgonzola. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and one of the best I’ve ever eaten! As tender as a filet with lots more flavor!

We gave this a second chance (first visit a couple of years ago) after hearing people say how much they liked it; the lines are out the door on the weekends. We arrived at about 5:30 on Friday night and were seated right away. Server was very pleasant but the food was extremely disappointing. The "signature" garlic rolls were just a very soft sweet yeast roll that was literally swimming in garlic butter; rolls at bottom of the bowl dripped (messy!!!) when lifted out of a half-inch bath of melted butter. Our food was served lukewarm. Seasonings were very bland, almost tasteless. The food was not over or underdone; it just didn't have much flavor. Sorry, but we won't be returning.

I made reservations so we could meet some friends and talk. When we arrived, we were seated in a booth next to a table set up for 16 people. Yup, they all soon arrived with small children for their meal. They also had live music. So if we wanted to talk across the table, we had to yell. Not what I was expecting. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good. I had the seafood trio that came with a garlic sauce which was way overpowering. They were busy for a Thursday night which is a good thing to see as so many restaurants are going out of business. I would suggest to the management two things. When you have a party of 5 adults coming in for dinner, don’t seat them at a booth. Three adults on one side is a tight fit. A table would be much better. The second thing is lower the volume of your music. People like to take when eating out and with the music that loud, it isn’t good for conversation. You’re not a sports bar, your a family restaurant.

I have a hard time even giving this restaurant one star. We had a family of 5, 2 kids & 3 adults. Ordered pizza, manicotti, ziti, ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs. 5 out of 5 meals were disgusting. How can you mess up pasta. The pasta was like it was thawed out & sat in water till served on the plate. The ravioli pasta was thick with tiny amount of filling. The meatballs had a weird smell like they sat out to long unrefrigerated. The salad that was served with the meal that we had read so many raving reviews on was like leftover lettuce at the bottom of a salad bowl. The waitress was very on top of things, so much she told us she had to clear the salad plates (while we were eating) cause our meal would be out soon. This is not Italian. We could not wait to leave 🤢

Second time we have gone to this place. The people at the desk were very professional. Mike was our waiter. We ordered a bottle of red wine and it was really good. There wine list has a lot of Italian wine an they have a really good selection. There salad is really good with mushrooms & beets & the dressing is very light oil/ vinegar. The garlic rolls are to die for. I had the angel hair pasta with mushrooms, roasted red peppers & asparagus with olive oil, wow it was very light and good. For a very busy restaurant, the service was good. Overall, they do a really good job. Some dishes are a little too cheesy for my taking. I will continue to go back even if I don't live close.

About 20 years ago, I tried Portofino's. It was in a different location. The food was goos but not exceptional. After such a long time, I wanted to try it again. Due to the pandemic, my family and I got takeout. Well, it was so incredibly good!!! I had the ponodoro. It was so flavorful, loved the sundried tomatoes, olive oil, and feta cheese. My Mom's spaghetti w/ meat sauce looked so appetizing. It actually had nice portions of meat in the sauce. My stepdad's lasagna looked wonderful as well. We had angel hair pasta, my favorite. Loved the vinegrette dressing and small yeast rolls with butter sauce. It was the type of meal you actually keep thinking about. So, why are you still sitting there?! Get off the couch and go already!!!

Last visit JUL 2020. Had early dinner (5:30 pm) on a FRI. Our party split some Caprese salad. Entrees were the chicken piccata, shrimp and scallops, and two Romano samplers. Split some milkey way pie. Overall great meal and service. Place was packed with folks waiting when we left.

I ordered a dish that I have had before and enjoyed so I had high expectations. It came to our table cold, pasta was tough and chicken was inedible. The waitress asked if I needed a box and I told her it was not up to par. She asked what was wrong with it. I told her and she just walked away. When she brought our check she had taken the dish off so we were not charged but no apology. This restaurant used to offer great food and wonderful service but we did not experience that this visit. Don't think we will go back.

Our first time (and wont be the last) My partner and I are lovers of fine cuisine. He being first generation Sicilian and me being Irish (of the Clan O'Brien. We love all cuisines. We walked in the restaurant not knowing what to expect. WOW,the place was crowded. Especially at the bar. We were seated at a booth at the bar. The bar was full of my age bracket of ladies and gentlemen who seemed to each other. Birthday was being celebrated and this was an occasion that was common at the restaurant. We started w an appetizer of portobello mushrooms sauteed and baked w cheese. We ordered a bottle of sicilian wine and my partner ordered the Eggplant Parmigian. I ordered the Chicken Draconcello. We immediately devoured the medallions of fantastic portobello mushrooms. The salad came and i thought it was cole slaw but a little stirring and a fantastic italian salad emerged w a fantastic combination of lettuce, tomayoe, chic peas, and homemade dressing. The main course came and all i can say is my Chicken Draconcello was unbelievable. The hint of tarragon paired in the sauce was amazing. The chicken was so tender it could melt in my mouth. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The rolls served in a dredger of butter, well as a lover of butter, i was in love. My partners Eggplant was, superb. We couldnt finish. The portions are enough for two so we,took home the remainder. Well u thought this, review, was over BUT...Dessert... I opted for a chocolate martini... My partner opted for a cake. In concluding, after meeting the owner "when they let him, Brett was fantastic, the waiter also gets,a shout out. Thank you Brett and the staff of PORTOFINO.'S

Thanks to the Corona virus we are stuck at home. We are frequent visitors of Portifinos. Is our favorite family gathering spot for any occasion. But tonite it was via delivery. Called promptly at 4pm. From the time I called to the time it was delivered was about 1 hour, 10 minutes. We live 10 miles away so delivery time will be longer and we expected that. From the Calamari, salad, rolls and meals everyone was delicious. Well packed. We did have to warm some of it but when you live 20 minutes away that’s to be expected. I’m a gourmet cook and this is my go-to Italian restaurant. Thank you to all the staff who saved me from another night of cooking! Job well done and very appreciated!!!!

Wife and I came here for dinner to celebrate Mother's day early, then we went on to Artisphere downtown. She had the Eggplant Parm and I had the "Lasagna Portofino" which is the meat lasagna. Both dishes were excellent. The portion size of hers was enough for 2 meals, and came with a side of spaghetti. My portion size was perfect - filled me up and I didn't waste any. Meals come with a salad which was very good, and their garlic rolls are addictive. We had 2 bowls of those LOL. We each had a drink before dinner. She had the "Lemonchini" and I got a Whiskey Sour. Drinks were good too - and pretty strong. Prices here are very reasonable I think. Server, "Monica", was just as nice as could be. Atmosphere is pleasant too.

Party of 2 arrived around 5:00pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Service was good. We both ordered Lasagna. The salad and bread that accompany your meals is great. Actually, the lasagna was not as good as I have had in the past. Some of my noodles/pasta was dried out. Would have liked for it to have been a tad juicier, ie. saucier. Total for 2 was $33.37 before tip, that included one soft drink. We like this place fairly well.

We hadn't been to Portofino's in ages but decided to have dinner there before New Yeers. WE arrived early and there were surprised to find this restaurant almost full. We were escorted to a booth with drapes so there was no spilling over of conversation from some other people dining. Very cozy and private. Our waiter was excellent, anticipating our needs. I ordered the Saltimbocca as I love to experiment. My wife played it safe and ordered lasagna. Both dinners were excellent! The veal was tender and juicy. Exactly as I expected. The salad and garlic knots only addd to the feast. The check was very reasonable and the service excellent. We just had to leave a huge tip. We'll be back again.
