Dinner with wife at 6:45. Seated promptly and Thomas our server presented menus and after our wine order he provided background on restaurant and discussed the menu options and was most helpful. We had the small filets, split a Caesar salad, shared sides of French fries and Brussel sprouts. The steak was prepared exactly as ordered and the Brussels sprouts were outstanding as well. Thomas our server was excellent and we had a wonderful evening.

Me and my husband went to Greenville for the weekend for his birthday, and had dinner reservations here for Friday night. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by two lovely ladies with beautiful smiles on their faces. We were seated at table, and received water within minutes. Our waiter, Justin, promptly arrived to take our drink order. Once we received our drinks, he went over the specials for the evening and answered any questions we had. The calamari appetizer was delicious, and had fried pickles with it that were very good. My husband ordered the crab cakes with the lobster cream, and I got the 4oz filet with mashed potatoes & asparagus. We also ordered a side of lobster Mac n’ cheese. Both of our dishes were AMAZING!! My filet was so tender that I could have cut it with my fork! Best filet EVER!! My husband just raved about the crab cakes & the lobster cream corn. Justin was an excellent server….very attentive and very knowledgeable! They had plenty of staff, and our waters never got below half full! I highly recommend Rick Erwin’s to anyone visiting Greenville. You will not be disappointed! If you want the BEST experience, ask for Justin. I promise he will take great care of you! We will definitely be back!

We visited for the first time last night, and sat at a high top in the bar area. Atmosphere was great. We ordered drinks and the Calamari, Crispy Oysters, and NOLA Shrimp. The appetizers were very good. The bar was slow, which caused our server to have to visit our table to apologize. We ordered entrees Seated Scallops, Surf and Turf with Lobster tail and Lamb. All were good, with the exception of the Lamb, which was way undercooked (raw and cold in the middle and had to be sent back. The lamb came back cooked properly, but lacked flavor. Johnny was our server and was great. Despite the small issues we enjoyed our evening.

We had heard that this restaurant was a great place to have a good steak/dinner for a long time. The first encounter with the host/hostess was pleasant. We were seated promptly and although the tables were very close together it was not a big issue although the two ladies sitting next to us were not happy being seated too close to us and up against to a wall. The couple who had raved about the service was embarrassed by the waitress who had our table. I brought two very expensive bottles of wine and the corkage fee was reasonable. I asked the server to open the first bottle and she went on and on about how this other couple, without reservations who were seated less than a minute had to be taken care of first. We had reservations but okay I understand they were here first and should be looked after, no problem on my behalf. When she came back to our table I again asked her to open my bottle of wine. At this point, she left to check on something, and said to me, she would come back soon. 10 minutes later she came back and tied to open my 2015 Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon. This waitress did not know how to properly open a bottle of wine, She did not cut the foil off the lip of the bottle and just put the corkscrew into the cork. At this point, I watched how she tried to pry the cork from the bottle, and when it was obvious that she was about to break the cork in two I reached over and took the bottle of wine from her hands and pulled the cork from the bottle. This waitress went on and on about talking to us rather than taking our order and at one point left to serve another customer. So, to sum it up, we spent over $200.00 on a meal that I could have gotten at a Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant, with much better service at 1/4 the price, and the waitstaff there know that we do not want a waitress to go on and on about nothing other than to take our order actually let the people she is serving to be able to carry on conservation without being constantly being interrupted her. I asked her if she knew the proper way to open a bottle of wine, to which she said she was on vacation when this class was held. Rick Erwin, you should be ashamed of yourself for letting this happen to your clients! So I am being generous with a 1-star rating!! I would advise anyone not to go to this restaurant unless they want to be waited on by someone who would not be hired at the local Craker Barrel!!!

We went on a Thursday night at 5:30, we were one of the first tables to be seated. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer, which was very good. This was followed by a wedge salad and the beet salad. The beet salad was good, the wedge salad blue cheese dressing was extremely flavorless. For our entrees I ordered the seafood pasta special, scallops and mussels with a garlic gorgonzola sauce which was very good. The only detail was the mussels were extremely gritty. I am assuming they were not rinsed. My dining partner ordered the Cacio de pepe. He was very disappointed in it. They used angel hair pasta that was over cooked and started to break down and the sauce was not pepper infused as Cacio de Pepe should be. For desert we ordered the Creme Burlee which was fantastic. The timing of the service through out the meal was a bit off. There was extremely long periods between courses and it did not flow smoothly. Our bill for the evening was $158.30 with two drinks from the bar, $17 for each drink which I thought was a bit much. Comparing this to other Rick Erwin locations this is not what we expected.

We came to Rick Erwins before heading to the Peace Center after receiving a gift card for Christmas. Very disappointed and will not return. The only good thing was the wine. I wish I could tell you something was amazing, but it's simply not true. The server was lovely, so I will say that! We LOVE good onion rings, so decided to try them. Major disappointment. They tasted like they had been dipped in bisquick and had 0 flavor. A few rings had the tough onion skin that was inedible to boot. Then, I got the Cascio e Pepe- ($17, plus add $9 fo about 3/4 cup of cooked asparagus, mushrooms and a few peppers) The angel hair pasta was over slighltly overcooked, and the cream sauce was just okay. Of the 6, 2" pieces of asparagus, 2 had the fibrous, chewy green stem. I wanted to spit it out, but couldn't figured out a polite way to do so, so chewed and chewed. My husband got the $30 Braciole flank steak stuffed with proscuitto and cranberries. The flavor was good with a nice demi-glace, but the meat, well, it might as well have been a dry pot roast wrap. You know how the part that is above the juices in the oven gets crunchy? Parts of this meat were like that, and the rest was a mix of pot roast and steak combo. Strange. The bread came out after the entrees, which is not a huge deal. It had the consistency of a big yeast roll and basically flavorless. I thought about how I wished I had some buttered cinnamon sugar on it because it was the same rolls I make for Christmas morning. Finally, we had decided on dessert after the show to be able to give our server a great tip. Come to find out, we could NOT charge her tip on the remainder of the $100, plus some cash. Nope, can't do it. When I was a server for years, this was always possible. So that was just the perfect ending to our night. We MIGHT go back for a glass of wine to use the $14 left on the card, but will not order any overpriced food that is sub-par.

We had a wonderful dinner. Great service, delicious meals and good setting. The oysters on the half shell were terrific. Complimentary warm bread was delicious. Selecting the 3 course special of the She Crab Soup was very good, the crab cake was really crabby, and the Key Lime Pie was tangy. My husband was thrilled with the Linguine Langosta. It was excellent. Even better was Rick Erwin personally stops by each table to assure guests are enjoying their meals.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Rick Erwins Westend Grill. We arrived for our reservation and were seated right away. The waiter was attentive and informative about the menu…taking time to go over everything since it was our first time there. There was a nice variety on the menu and everything was very good.

Rick Erwin's never disappoints! The food was outstanding. Seared Ahi Tuna was the perfect temperature with just enough spices to complement the fish without overpowering. This was the second time we've been there when Abdoulaye was our server. He is such a kind, helpful and energetic member of their staff. He certainly helps make your dinner at Rick Erwin's a special occasion.

A wonderful evening at Rick Erwin’s celebrating my retirement. The service was stellar and the food was delicious. From salad to the main course each was spaced out properly and we were not rushed. A fine selection of wine to compliment our meals. We have been traveling to this restaurant since 2010 and it’s well worth the two hour drive to celebrate special occasions.

This beautiful restaurant never disappoints. The food is always special and the service is very nice, making you feel cared for and not rushed. We observed a couple who requested moving to a larger table and the staff accommodated them graciously. I must recognized our server, Ellen from Queens! She was professional and delightful to meet. The restaurant was busy which we were so glad to see Greenvillians dining out comfortably! One final comment, this local business appreciates their customers. We highly recommend it and will return.

We had the most amazing dinner at Rick Erwin's West End Grille! The calamari appetizer was the best I've ever had. We almost didn't order it because calamari seems so boring, but this was anything but basic! The bread was so fresh you could see the steam pouring out of it. The cocktail my husband had was so good he ended up ordering another. I had parmesan crusted grouper and it was amazing. My husband had the surf and turf with truffle chive butter, and now I want to go back so I can have my own. The service was impeccable. Everyone we encountered was courteous and helpful and our server's recommendations were spot on! 100% would recommend!!

It has been several years since we dined here....but our visit on a SAT evening was outstanding! We each had a drink, followed by French onion soup and she crab soup. Entrees: surf and turf (crab cake and 4 oz filet), and crab cake + fries. Shared a WONDERFUL apple and cinnamon butter cake for dessert. Server Thomas was fantastic! Sorry I did not take any food pics.

Well worth the experience. We had a lovely 3 - course meal for $42 pp. Our server was superb. All of the servers looked great in their white coats and black pants. The food was excellent but be advised that the topping on the fillet is extra such as butter -$9.00. It was truffle butter, which we were unaware of.

Yes it’s expensive, so take the opportunity to enjoy their current $45 four course menu. The only problem with this restaurant is the chefs use too much salt. The hot oysters were salty, so was the risotto, and the ocean fish, and the asparagus- please chef, lay off the salt. Swift service and nice ambiance- free valet parking too.
