This was our first time eating here and it was FABULOUS! I had the chicken alfredo and my husband had shrimp and grits. They were both delicious! We were given a sample platter first which had chicken gumbo, seafood gumbo, red beans, jambalaya, lobster bisque.....all of which were very tasty. This made our decision even harder. The portions were large and neither of us could finish. We topped it off with the mini beignets. Wow!! Absolutely marvelous!!

I went to New Orleans back in 2016 with people from my work and I fell inlove with the food. However, once I got back home I missed it and tired to copy but, it was never the same. After a few years, I heard about this place but never thought much about it until my friends recommended it to me. Due to COVID I decided to order through a delivery service and I am so glad that I ordered from them. The gator bites with the sauce was good. The Boudin balls (which I always wanted to try) was moist and full of flavor. The Shrimp & Grits were by far the best I’ve ever eaten. The Beignets tasted just like the ones that are served at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans (though bigger). I am highly impressed by this place and would recommend it to anyone who is from Louisiana or loves the Cajun cuisine. No doubt I will definitely order again and hopefully one day come in to eat there.

I nearly forgot we were in South Carolina because this restaurant does a great job of capturing the New Orleans feel. This place is not a large building so there is not a tong of seating but we were able to quickly be seated in a half booth with no wait. We ordered the Cat-touffee, Catfish and Shrimp platter, Voodoo pasta, shrimp and grits, fried okra, boudin balls, fried okra. My personal favorite was the okra that is season with a signature swamp salt!! Ummm so crispy and good! We also had the beignets. They have bite size and then large. I made the mistake of ordering the large ones. They are big as a plate. Go for the bite size which is normal size. All of the dishes were good and Large portions. The service was good. I didn’t catch the waitress name but she was pleasant. The atmosphere is laid back. The location is on Main Street in the middle of the fun area. If you are lucky enough to find street parking, leave the car and just walk.

Well since I love cajun food I was excited to see the high ratings and the close proximity to where we were located in DT Greenville we decided to give it a try. I ordered the hush-puppies as an appetizer and they came out about as dark as Hersheys chocolate and were obviously dry. Next came the Jambalaya which must have been from either the day before or been setting there for some time drying out. The meat and rice was so dry it was not enjoyable. I asked the waitress to please bring me the seafood gumbo and she did and it had 3 tiny shrimp about the size of a dime and maybe 1/4 teaspoon of crab meat and maybe 1 tablespoon of rice, rest brown sauce. The service was excellent but would not recommend this to anyone.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Greenville and had to leave after lunch on Sunday. We walked up and down Main street and I’d heard that this restaurant was good so we decided to give it a try. Everybody was super friendly and you could tell the employees knew a lot of their customers as repeats. We got the gator bites as an appetizer. They were tender and not Shuey at all in great in the Cajun sauce. We each ordered a Po boy for lunch and had that amazing Cajun sauce on our Poboy‘s instead of tartar sauce. Tana was our server and she was super nice. I had to take some beignets home with me since I was too full after that lunch. They smelled heavenly all the way home and of course were great when I got there. This place looks like it would be great to have a few drinks and dinner or come back for brunch with drinks but since we were driving we didn’t have any alcohol.

I ordered the smaller seafood platter (3 pcs. each of fried catfish, shrimp, oysters). The food came quickly and was hot (temperature). The catfish and shrimp were delicious!!! The oysters were very mushy and didn't taste right. The portions were large, and I ate everything but a few fries as I was stuffed. Being a casual type establishment, I thought $17 was a bit steep for the entree. Service was good, although I had to ask for ketchup for the fries.

We just Stan let into the restaurant looking for something different. Small place with a few tables and we sat at the bar. Service was great and gator bites for appetizers which was great as my main dish I got the seafood platter with oysters, shrimp and catfish. It was very delicious and fresh. I would definitely recommend when visiting Main Street Greenville and looking for some Cajun cuisine. Reasonably priced and great food!

We like Cajun food and has been in New Orleans a few times. We, three adults, ate dinner on Friday evening. We did not need to wait so much to get our seat, but many people waited later time. It was very busy and our waitress, Layne, worked so hard. We ordered Zydeco Shrimp, Onion Ring Basket, Fried Pickles, Small Fish & Shrimp Plate, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Cup Trio, Shrimp & Grits, Beer(2), and Margarita(2). I liked Cup Trio because you could choose three sample cup of gumbo or cajun food. All food were good, not great because it was a little too salty. We needed more drink... We paid $123 including 20% of tips. This is a franchise restaurant and there is no location in Ohio where we live. But we will be back any locations when we find it.

I stopped here during a work trip and was blown away by the taste and selection of food. They give you a flight sampler of all the food to let you have a taste of everything, from the rice to the gumbo. This is both a good and bad thing, because then you’ll order everything on the menu! I’ve been there several times and have gotten almost everything, it’s all soooooo good. I’d recommend anything sauce based- catfish etouffee is amazing and their lobster bisque is not to be missed! A trip to The Lost Cajun isn’t complete until you’ve had their beignets. Everything here is very affordable, in fact almost too cheap for how good it is!! Coming from someone who used to live in New Orleans, this is as close to cajun food as you’re gonna get!!!!

Really good! Didn’t know what to expect and we were very pleased with our experience. Love that they bring you 6 samples right off, so you can try them first. I had the chicken sausage gumbo, and hubby had the red beans and rice. We thought the bowl and cup options were great for us. Garlic bread was over shadowed by the food, not we ate it all and were really happy. Had to end the meal with the beignets which were good. Service was excellent and we’re looking forward to our next trip which should be next week!

We ate lunch here and it was fantastic! I recommend the boudin balls for an appetizer. I got the fried catfish and my husband got the jambalaya. Both were large portions and very, very good. The catfish was lightly fried and not heavy or greasy. The jambalaya had a nice kick to it.

Went craving an oyster Po Boy came away disappointed. The best thing I had was a cup of gumbo it was well seasoned It tasted good. The oyster po boy was not overflowing with oysters nor was the sauce very inspired The fried okra was hot but under seasoned. My server brought the gumbo with dinner and failed to provide any silverware. I’m sorry to have wasted the calories on mediocre food.

Traveled many times to New Orleans as well as writing restaurant food reviews. Tried the Crawfish Etouffe, Crawfish Pie and a shrimp Po-boy. All without merit. Etouffe tasted pitiful with tiny and limited Crawfish tails. No taste of Crawfish. Very sad this restaurant doesn't know how to prepare great cajun recipes.

Hi Richard Oliver, What's sad is the how rude you were as a customer to our staff. We asked how your meal was? You stated it was pathetic that we were still in business. We asked how we could make it better? You gave no answer as to how. We offered to replace your meal (which you fully ate). You didn't want that since you were full. You then left zero tip for your waitress, which even if you did not enjoy your meal she still survives off tips from customers. Maybe you needed to save the money to afford your new Lexus? We went out of our way to make your experience remarkable and enjoyable, but you were insufferable Richard (or maybe you prefer Dick?) You rock as a person, keep it up.

Anthony was our server. He was very helpful and brought us a complimentary sample plate of Cajun Specialties to help us decide what we wanted to eat. The food was reasonably priced and very delicious. Authentic New Orleans cuisine. They offer a full liquor bar with a good selection of beers including Abita beer. We will definitely be back.

The Lost Cajun has it right in the name..... it’s food LOST me in regards to any flavor. The gumbo is bland and it doesn’t help that they put so much rice in the bowl that it loses the essence of the dish. Also, the menu lacked in variety. So, if you don’t like catfish or a plethora of different gumbo varieties, keep walking down the street for another food option.
