Great oysters! Raw, steamed and Rockefeller. Used to go here all the time then moved away. Now we're back!

This is the second time at this restaurant and I have not been disappointed either time. The food has been good as well as the service.Try the oysters, they were excellent!!
The Great Bay Oyster House is the oldest fine dining restaurant in Greer and we had never gone there. For our sixth anniversary we made reservations and went there. My gosh what we have been missing all these years! The Oysters Rockefeller was outstanding! I then had their fish platter. The cocktail sauce was as great as the cocktail sauce,... More
If I could rate this on food alone I would give GBOH a 5 star rating. However, good service or in this case bad service really makes an impact. Our service was horrible! The waitress was never around. We had to constantly ask for beverage refills and even had to get up to find our own bottle of ketchup. The... More
I've eaten here once before and had a good experience. We celebrated my daughter's wedding reception in their back room. It was a small wedding with about 30 total people in attendance. They had two servers for all of us. We waited a long time getting our drinks before our meal. They took all of our food orders at the... More
Been to Great Bay visiting family a couple of times. Feels strange ordering fish where we consider quite a distance from ocean but we have been pleasantly surprised. Another restaurant turned us away at 4:45 for no reservations. We were Hurricane Mathew refugees just looking for a nice dinner. GBOH had no problem seating us. Very nice atmosphere, great menu selections. We were very happy with our food and the friendly service.
I'd been thinking about chargrilled oysters for a couple of days, so when my daughter-in-law texted she was in town and wanted to meet for dinner I suggested GBOH. Service was fast and attentive but not overly so, giving us a chance to talk and catch up without constant interruptions from the wait staff. D-I-L had never had steamed oysters... More
I'm really sad to give this place such a low rating, because most of our food was really good. The grilled shrimp with parmesan risotto was excellent, and my husband said the fried oyster po boy was great too. But our server was truly terrible and didn't seem to care much. When we brought this to the manager's attention she... More
