This place has it all when it comes to seafood. Wonderful and fresh have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always great. It has an old school feel to the place and could not ask for better food and it is located right on the waterway.

I have been eating here for years and love it. They are literally family run, service is amazing, food is fresh as well as delicious, and the view of the waterway you see from the dining room is gorgeous. Stop by and see Ms. Deana and you'll be glad you did, she has an entire freezer of homemade pies and... More

We stop in to this restaurant whenever we are staying in North Myrtle Beach. We have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and freshly prepared. Prices are reasonable and service has always been good. The menu is very up to date, although the place still manages to maintain a bit of vintage charm. Outside views are great too.... More

My wife and I had been here once or twice before and decided to make a visit with two of my daughters, my son-in-law and grandson and could not have been happier out on the deck enjoying the food and ambience

We have seen Captain Juel's when going out on the gambling boats but never ate there. We stopped in on a trip back from Wilmington. We were greeted like we had known them all our life. All of the staff had that attitude and took real good care of us. My wife got pork chops and they were about two... More

My wife and I ate here while staying in Myrtle Beach about a 30 min drive to the north. It was a Tuesday evening in early Oct and the crowds were very sparse. But the food on the seafood platter was not sparse. We first had the She Crab Soup. This is some of the best that we have had.... More

This was a fun place. Good food, nice, friendly, and helpful servers, great outdoor seating on the Little River. Lively bar scene, too! The outdoor seating is peaceful - unless the casino boat is leaving shore! Beware the loud horn blast!! The firecracker shrimp was delicious.

Our party of 4 got there when it opened for lunch and had one of the best lunches we've had along this stretch of NC coast. The setting on the Intercoastal waterway was pretty, with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was very fast, courteous and helpful. A nice family owned place and we would come again.

My son had wings which he said were way toooooo hot. My hubby had a po boy which he thought would have regular shrimp on and they were the tiny little shrimp. I had the shrimp dinner (pricey at $20.95) and while the shrimp were good, they could've been fried a little longer. The hush puppies were good and of... More

My husband and I headed in a different direction for dinner and pulled in to Captain Juel's Hurricane. We ate outside on a dock overlooking the river. Heidi our server was efficient and friendly. Try the Firecracker Shrimp for an appetizer. We had seafood platters and enjoyed the fried fresh fish.

Thank Holly B

In the mid 1900's a new chapter of history was made in a small town in Little River S.C. At that time a restaurant was opened in the very banks of the Intercoastal Waterway, called Capt. Juel's Hurricane. In the mid 70's the restaurant was brought by Joe Robertson, who still owns it today. You will still find Mr. Joe in and around the kitchen and his wife Deanna behind the bar mixing up killer drinks or in the kitchen preparing the luscious desserts. The restaurant is managed by their daughter Heidi and her husband Clayton, it truly is a family affair. In 2014 the place under went a total renovation inside and out. The restaurant now features a new Sushi Bar, that's a must have over looking the untouched marshlands. Capt. Juel's stills brings you the freshest seafood, hand cut steaks and chops. The menu is filled with a variety of choices from tacos to burgers. Or maybe just stop by the have a drink on the deck and enjoy seeing the fishing boats bring in the catch of the day.
