If you have read any of my other reviews you will notice that I like off the beaten path authentic local restaurants. The wreck is no exception. The food was great and the service was friendly. If your looking for a tourist attraction then this place is not for you. If you want fine dinning then go someplace else. But... More

Admittedly, the outside makes this restaurant kind of look like a wreck in itself... However, the food is very, very good. The food tasted fresh, the slaw was bomb, and the somewhat hodge-podge interior was pretty cool.

This place is awesome! If you go by the looks of the place, you may just turn around & not try it and you'd definitely miss out on a fabulous meal!! Definitely a dive restaurant a little off the well travelled path but a must try if you're in Mt. Pleasant. Friendly service on the deck with a great view.... More

There's a reason it's called "The Wreck," and you're wondering if all those good things you've heard could possibly be true. The atmosphere is fun, the view of sunset is fabulous and our waitress was so cute and friendly, constantly joking with my sister and me. And lets not forget the food-different kinds of sides for seafood, and low-country delicious!... More

Definitely a mt pleasant legacy. Have to go just to see its unique quality. Food is fresh caught that day (mostly). Mostly fried stuff but good quality. Service is good but nothing crazy. Fun different scence for sure. Go early to grab the good stuff before it sells out. Good value and fun. Always a good idea for out of... More

The restaurant is a little hard to find seeing as how the outside is a shack at the end of a gravel parking lot. There is only the mailbox and a small sign on the door to let you know that the restaurant is there. Once inside you are greeted by the friendly hostess and led to a table where... More

This was my husbands idea. I didn't even realize it was a restaurant, looks like a shack. It was recommended by a coworker. Not fancy, but food was good. Probably wouldn't go back or recommend anyone I know to either. I had the fresh catch that had just come in, Crab claws I think. They were good. Hubby had fried... More

The restaurant was noisy, a having fun, and relaxed atmosphere. The oysters, scallops, and shrimp were excellent, very well prepared, served hot, and a good size portion. I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant over 20 years ago. I enjoyed it as much this t ime as I did then. If seafood is American and I think it... More

A hidden gem for locals and some turistas if you get there early and they dont run out of fresh seafare off their trawler to dock to kitchen! Their clam chowder is very dense ,flavorful, concentrated aromatic and hearty. Unfortunately upon opening and seating at 5 p.m they were not serving the She Crab soup. All of their fried shellfish... If you like good food and don't mind eating off paper plates, this is the place to go. Great location. Small, but well organized space. She crab soup was top notch. First restaurant I have been to that serves hot boiled peanuts when you arrive. I would love to return and sit outside in warm weather.
