We tried the OVPH for the first time during Charleston Restaurant Week. First impression was not great - there seems to be an increasing trend of putting pretty teenage girls in the front of house, but do they have to wear their workout gear?? Our server was completely distracted and ignored for long periods, and we were 'forced' to order... More

My wife and I were asked to join another couple for dinner Monday evening at the Old Village Post House. This is a quaint inn and restaurant in the old section of Mt. Pleasant. It was restaurant week and they had a special menu allowing a choice of salads; filet, fish (swordfish steak), or ox-tail and dumplings; and desserts. I... More

An awful meal. The OVPH just could not get it right even though they tried several times. Avoid Restaurant Week menus (wherever you go) as the food listed on those is just not up to snuff. Twice tried and never again. Moreover, no accommodation or apology from anyone for a meal disaster. An expensive waste of time except for the... More

We live literally down the street from this charming little restaurant and want to love it, because it is part of the neighborhood and it is so close. However, the last four times we have been here we said we weren't coming back! The first time we visited the Post House in 2011 everything was excellent and it quickly became... More

Best (and only) soft shell crab BLT. The atmosphere is a little quiet for me, but the food is great and not downtown expensive.

Had dinner with my wife and a friend on a wednesday night. Street parking so expect to walk a little. The restaurant is located in an old house in Old Town Mount Pleasant. Very nice ambiance. We had crab soup, crab cakes, a filet with gorgonzola sauce, and grilled salmon with crab topping. The food was outstanding! My crab cakes... More

We were visiting from out of state and looked up this restaurant online..we were celebrating our 41st Anniversary and wanted to have a special dinner. When I called I told the young lady we were celebrating a special Anniversary and could we please have a quiet table in the corner for 2 for 6:30. She was very sweet and said... More

Went here for brunch, and the atmosphere was nice. I ordered a crab omelette and the seafood was too fresh. Overall the food is good.
