The food was fantastic. It came out pretty quickly. Our servers were wonderful. Best meal I have had in a restaurant in a long time

Our wait time was 25 minutes. We sat at the bar and had a drink. The bar staff were efficient, attended to us quickly and were well versed in the menu. We were taken to our table and shortly met by Michell and her trainee....She asked for our drink order (no drink/wine menu). We ordered no drinks. We asked for an order of Grouper bites which came out quickly. We ordered our entrees. We were only a few bites into our appetizer when our food arrived by another staff member. Needless to say we did not get to enjoy our appetizer. We were about 3 bites from finishing our meal when Michelle returned to ask if everything was okay. We did not see her from the time other staff delivered our food until we were almost finished. I had to ask for water. (When we did not order a drink, one would think water would be offered.) After some time, my water arrived and seconds later our check. We were very happy with the food, we both had the variety plate. We did feel very rushed and ignored by our waitress. The trainee was very attentive when he brought extra napkins and hand wipes when we got our appetizers. He will do well. As for Michelle, a good waitress, checks at least once during the meal, not at the end, displays a courteous smile and acts like she is happy to wait on you! We will be back in September for a hot, delicious meal, a drink and water. I gave a 5 star on the review as the quantity and quality of the food was excellent, Not heavily battered, fresh and tasty. The bar staff excellent and the trainee, also. Highly recommend.More

My favorite restaurant category is waterside rustic seafood houses. This qualifies for sure. The food is very good, fresh, and not overly salted nor overly garlicky. The prices are reasonable and the service was good as well.

The martini was very good. Hot rolls were brought to the table immediately. The oyster platter was adequate and included coleslaw and small hush puppies. I ordered a baked potato for my side.

We decided to visit Myrtle beach for a spring break getaway. Due to Covid we are still not doing indoor dining so we took the time to make reservations weeks in advance for the very limited outdoor dining that Myrtle Beach has to offer. We...made a reservation for outside seating at Hot Fish but received a phone call at 4pm on the day of our reservation that outdoor seating was not available by reservation and was first come first served. When I asked why there reservation system provided that option I was told “well we didn’t sign up for that” but it’s your reservation system and you were aware that it was causing confusion. So fix it! While I understand things happen I think more than 2 hours notice of the issue would show a better management response. Also The Who gives a crap attitude is sad. Won’t be back!More

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are currently working with Open Table to fix the issue. We don’t see the reservations till the day of and had to disappoint a few guests that night. Thanks for being understanding and bringing this to our attention

My 9 year old son and I went here for dinner. Beautiful place. However maybe because it was just the two of us I felt very rushed by my server. We were sat at a table with no utensils and then had to ask a...few times. Server asked to take our order for drinks without giving us a drink menu. When we ordered our food, I was surprised that server took only 5 minutes to bring it out so I assume it wasn't made fresh and I was right because the fish was slightly warm although the vegetables and risotto was hot. I am giving the restaurant 3 stars because the taste was excellent although fish was not cooked fresh upon ordering. After we got back to our hotel room, my stomach was very upset. The next morning my son's stomach was also very upset. This restaurant should be called the Cold Fish Club.More

Sorry to hear about your experience. The best solution is to let your server know while dining with us, so that we can fix any problem while you’re still with us. We, like every restaurant in the area, are short staffed and regrettably small yet...More

We chose the Hot Fish Club based on reviews and the fact that you can get a reservation and we were not disappointed! We really enjoyed the food - the Lobster Pot Pie is really delicious. We also tried the Tuna Poke and the She...Crab Soup. We liked the food so much that we came back 2 more times while we were in Pawleys Island. The Low Country Steam Pot is really good as is the Seafood Corn Chowder, fried Oysters, Grouper Bites and the raw Oysters. The service was also very good. The only thing that disappointed me was my order of steamed oysters - they were served "wet" and I really prefer "dry" but the server never asked and it wasn't indicated on the menu. Overall we highly recommend the Hot Fish Club and would definitely return the next time we are in the area!More

What a great fresh And cozy place to go with an extensive menu . The tables and bar area are well suited for a great experience . Servers are well versed in the menu and the chefs are seafood connoisseurs for sure . Bartenders know...their menu as well with wide assortment of wines, beers and liquor . This place is sure to please if you’re in the area . Make sure to try the Tuna Poke appetizer ...it rivals any Poke I have ever had - delicious!More
