I recently had the opportunity to eat at Cracker Barrel in Orangeburg twice, first on the way to Florida, and a second time on the way back. The restaurant was under staffed on our first visit, and my sister and I waited quite a while....When my grilled chicken tenders and her chicken and dumplings arrived, it was worth the wait! The food was tasty and portions were generous. On the way back from Florida, we had dinner there again. This time, service was fantastic even though the restaurant was crazy busy! We ordered chef salads and were almost overwhelmed when we saw how large they were! 😊 Again, we had no complaints.More

We were travelling through Orangeburg on our way home and stopped for lunch. We waited 35 minutes eventhough the restaurant wasn't crowded. The floor in the dining area looked dirty with spilled food throughout. We were a party of 9 so we did not expect...service to be as quick as with smaller party. After 40 minutes they brought out our order, but half the table received their food while the other half had to wait 15 minutes. Some of the items in our order were missing and we had to ask several times for them. Some of the food was not well cooked. My sons burgers were burnt and we asked for new ones. They came out cold and they didn't bring out his french fries again. We were never offered drink refills. When the server began to clear plates, she placed a pile on my infant niece's baby mat (that she was still eating off of). My father-in-law went to the cashier to ask for the manager, but after 10 minutes of waiting he never came to speak with him. My FIL paid as we had to get back on the road. On the way out I askeda cashier to speak to the manager and was told by a staff member that she'd told the manager several customers had asked to speak with him but he wasn't available. I asked for contact information and the cashier went back to get the manager again. About five minutes later I was told the manager was still unavailable, but I was given his name. We love Cracker Barrel, but this visit was hugely disappointing. If there were staffing issues they could have stated that, but we were not told why everything was so slow, never received an apology, and most frustrating never had the opportunity to speak to the manager.More

Taking our elderly parents to dinner around 5pm on Sunday evening. Restaurant was nearly empty yet we waited for 30 minutes for a table. The hostesses did not smile or greet us. They wore a scowl. Our server did not smile or greet us. Instead...he just walked to the table and asked us what we wanted. He also didn't tell us his name.We ordered an appetizer before we placed our order yet it took 30 minutes for it to arrive. During that time our server disappeared. We had to ask another server to get him. When he finally showed up he was very rude when we asked about our appetizer and biscuits. Other tables with other servers were getting service and food but not our table. We asked the server for creamer and he threw it at my Dad and the table. It took an hour for the food to arrive but by then we were fed up so we left without eating. My Dad ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and there was one piece of cheese on it. The sirloin looked like a burnt brick. The food looked disgusting. I noticed the kitchen is filthy as I waited to speak with the GM. The GM gave us gift cards that we threw away because we will never be back.More

It is located by all the hotels. The restaurant was clean and we had a friendly server with good food. Thank you.

SAVE YOUR MONEY: I am shocked that the food quality of our food was not up to Crackers level. Meat as tough as can be, baked potatoes we where amazed that you can make these like rocks and the worst was we did not get...what we actually ordered for our take out. We stayed at a hotel behind this restaurant and it was amazing. Save your money as the ol Cracker needs a new chef.More

Came for dinner. Seemed like a newer Cracker Barrel. Very clean. But the service was slow and the food was way over cooked. Returned part of the food to be remade and was still over cooked.

Ok restaurant when you are driving through. Lots of interesting gewgaw type merchandise to peruse as you are waiting to be seated. Took awhile as not enough help!!

Very busy night, probably short handed but we had to wait 1/2 hour for a table, then 15 minutes for a waitress to take our order, then 20 minutes to receive it, then 20 minutes for the check. They were out of the best thing...on their menu, fresh broccoli. Had to ask our waitress 3 times for lemon to put on our fish. never got butter, had to get ketchup off another table. Friday Fried cod batter was too heavy, turnip greens disappointed.More

Love Cracker Barrel. Love breakfast at dinner. And right across parking lot from hotel. What else can I say

We were staying in a hotel within walking distance of this Cracker Barrel, after driving 9 hrs we didn't want to walk or even drive any more so we ordered 4 meals through Doordash. The food order was mostly wrong. Mashed potatoes with no gravy,...when gravy was specified, 8 burnt corn muffins and I mean burnt, we got the wrong dinner sides, one piece of chicken had a hair stuck in the breading, a bowl of soup with no spoon to eat it with. We decided to just eat the sides that showed up, and I drank the soup from the bowl. When I called the Cracker Barrel to tell them of the problems, the employee said, "yes that batch of corn muffins was burnt" and then told me I could drive over and get more, at which time I told her no one could because our vehicle was pulling a 20' trailer, at this time I was basically told there was nothing they could do, unless I wanted a discount on my next visit there, I told them I live in Pa, a return visit was not happening. The hair in the chicken was not discovered until after my conversation with the employee, so they did not know about that. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

Stopped on a Sunday after lengthy travel. Waited 20 minutes for table as limited seating. Then ran out of pot roast which disappointed husband who choose not to eat. Waiter was exceptional but busy. Had breaded chicken breast which was very tasty along with house...salad. Ice tea was great.More

We enjoyed the chicken and hash brown casserole - hard to go wrong on food at the cracker barrel. the fish fry was simply awesome food! The waitress was awesome and sweet and fast with service. This is a reliable cracker barrel at the 145...exit on I-26 heading into Charleston or leaving Charleston. It is also a great place to meet folks if you are coming from Charleston and they are coming from Columbia so that neither one of you have to drive so far.More
