Unfortunately it is permanently closed. Have been waiting for a reopen, however it hasn't happened yet. No one ate there March 1. Closed at least 2 years.

great food pretty decent prices and nice workers. the restraunt needs improvement but most people just get their food to go. worth a try if youve never been
Still closed for remodeling...I guess! Still closed. Have heard rumors of a reopen, however nothing as of yet.
The food was fairly good. Good southern home style "soul" food. Worth a try but the restaurant definitely needs some updating. Old and broken down looking. Ceiling tiles nasty. Needs a good update.
Stopped here on a road trip. It's 5 minutes off of I-26. We are so glad we ate here instead of the chain restaurants nearer the Interstate. The place my be slightly run down but the food was excellent, the portions were big and the...family that runs the restaurant made us feel so welcome. Many of the locals stop for take out. While we were here we met the entire family. This is the kind of restaurant and the kind of kindness and decency that unfortunately doesn't exist much anymore.More
Tried the Brown Derby after recommendations from Yelp and trip adviser. Very good fried chicken. Fresh out of the fryer. If all collards tasted like theirs I'd have eaten a lot more collards. Very good. The Mac and cheese as pretty good and the rice...and gravy was excellent if a tad salty. The place looks underwhelming, to say the least, both inside and outside. But the food is good.More
Stopping overnight in Orangeburg and decided we needed South Carolina BBQ. Had already researched and decided on the Brown Derby. Arrived and went into the restaurant. Yes it's a little tired looking on the premises so we were doing takeout. A couple of patrons waiting...for their order and the counter lady motioned for us to come to the front to place our order. She was very pleasant and we ordered the rib dinner & pulled pork dinner. Waited 10 minutes and our takeout arrived. Took it back to the hotel and spread it out. Very tasty rib dinner with 3 sides. The ribs had a unique mustard, vinegar sauce, very tasty. Included yams which might have been dessert they were so sweet. The collards included big chunks of country ham, yummo, and the braised cabbage was very good as well. My spouse enjoyed her pulled pork dinner so all in all very tasty. For 8$ per dinner can't go wrong. Would recommend for takeout.More
This restaurant is located on the Belleville Rd. The food and service is WONDERFUL. They make you feel right at home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Once you get past the run down appearance outside as well as inside , the food will overcome your initial doubt. The fried chicken is one of the best I have tasted, and is complemented by wonderful sides - especially the hash rice, yams, and...collared greens. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to not having a choice of ribs (none were available this night) and neither was there any ice tea! Service attitude was disappointing and not friendly.More
We didn't get a chance to eat because the service was so bad. Watched many others that came after us come and go. After 25-30 mins of this we just left. The food looked very good.😕
