Quiet dinner with almost good but not great food . I had shrimp and grits . Shrimp had been made ahead and heated before serving. Also shrimp were wrapped in bacon which was salty and overcooked . Grits were too creamy and coated in a...poor grade of grated cheese . Have had better in Savannah and Charleston. Actually much better ! The salad that was served as an appetizer was out of a bag American style. Dressing was bottled . And the grape tomatoes were passed date. No bread basket . My husband had prime rib which he said was very good . So 50 % still is not good. His beef was accompanied by a baked potato and no vegetables . So maybe in Santee SC this is a good meal but not In a larger metro area. Wine was served in wrong glass and barely drinkable, Should have sent entire meal back but didn’t want to make a scene . Wish we had gone to the supermarket for a takeout sandwich . Will not stop there on our way home.More

Wonderful, friendly service, and good seafood! The restaurant was busy but we were served quickly. We were just staying the night so it was nice to have a place near our hotel.

Reservations accepted but weren’t needed at all for parties of <5 on a Wednesday evening. Reasonably quiet and clean. Seafood and beef prominent on menu with a southern flare. I tried salt and pepper fried catfish… it was delicious; cooked perfectly. My wife had lobster...tail, which unfortunately was undercooked in the center. Salad was fresh but dressings were not prepared fresh and lacked flavor. Sweet and baked potatoes were very tasty. Desserts were mixed. Pecan pie exceptionally good. Peach cobbler mushy and seemed to be made with canned peaches. Service was fast, pleasant and mostly attentive. The bill surprised me by the inclusion of a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. This was my first time here. I would return if traveling this way again. The shrimp and grits looked interesting.More

This is next door to the Best Western, which I also gave 5 dots to. The portions were satisfactory, although I was surprised by the small serving of slaw; when I asked for more it was furnished free of charge. The seafood was good and...the service attentive. Very popular with the golfers.More

After a long day on I95, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Captains Quarters! Starting with some cocktails, I had the lobster tails that were so sweet and tender and a loaded potatoe that was perfect! Hubby enjoyed the scallops and a...loaded potatoe as well. Unfortunately no room for dessert. Our server was quick and efficient. We also liked that the tables were far apart. We would definitely visit again!More

We enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly and attentive, seafood well prepared. Portions were modest yet adequate, a refreshing change from super sizing! Highly recommend the house raspberry vinaigrette!

Very nice restaurant with a lot of choices at reasonable prices. The service was excellent as well. We went while staying at a hotel across the street , but many of the customers appeared to be locals and regulars. If we lived nearby, we would...be here all the timeMore

excellent place. Had an "old mansion' feel to it. If you don't go early, I suggest reservations. I had jambalaya and it was like New Orleans. Service was outstanding, quick, pleasant, and efficient.

We were in Santee for a week, dined a Captain's Quarters 3 times. The seafood was very fresh, well prepared, and delicious. Their fried catfish was well seasoned with a light batter, and scrumptious. Their broiled seafood was very flavorful, and nicely cooked. Their wait...staff is exceptional, quick to respond to a request, solicitous, but not overpowering.More

It appears to be the clubhouse for the Lake Monroe golf course. I maybe mistaken but it is clean and quaint! A bit loud, but manageable. Our server Lisa was attentive and very pleasant. We orders frog leg appetizer which came with 2 sections. Also...know as saddles in the Midwest. Also ordered the jambalaya special which was huge and the shrimp scampi.which had a large amount of good sized shrimp 🍤More
