I've been in the past and things were good but this time around was a disaster. The calabash chicken that they claim to be famous for tasted liked it had sat in old oil for hours. I expect my fried food to be greasy but not to taste like refried rubber. The manager acted like she was angry with me... More

Went in for an early dinner. Hadn't visited a Fatz Cafe in years. Now I remember why I stopped going. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting to the point I almost left. There were less than 5 tables seated- why r the bathrooms nasty? Some of the seats had tape holding them together and the springs on the booths had seen... More

I go to fatz all the time or order to go. It's always delicious. Some very friendly workers as well. Great for big families and to me price is fair for what you get.

Food was really delicious and nice portions -- I had a fried chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and bacon on it! The service was great and I'd forgotten... More

This place was really good. I understand why they call it FATZ because I felt FAT walking out of there. So the first thing that came out were the rolls, which were sweet and so delicious. The next thing that we ordered were the fried pickles. These pickles were very different from the others that I have had. They were... More

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I were traveling through South Carolina on our return trip from Augusta to Ohio, when we decided to get out of the rain and spend the night in Spartanburg. It was 9:00 pm and we drove across the street to Fatz Cafe for dinner. Our server was named Jessica and when she found... More

This place is becoming something that would make Jimmy Rogers roll over in his grave. Even with loyal employees doing their best to bring in guests, build and keep regulars they are constantly being told they are not good enough by management even though their guests compliments say otherwise. The food is not up to the quality it used to... More
