The waitresses completely ignored us after we were seated. We sat there 20 minutes with 2 waitresses walking all around us before a very friendly and wonderful man waited on us. Get rid of the waitresses and give that guy a raise. (Wish I could remember his name.) The food was satisfactory.

You have to go to the Gem when in Deadwood. Great food, steaks of course and the fact the Gem has been there since the beginning. Anyone familiar with the HBO'S mini series knows it's the place to go

Great food, friendly staff, and a very upscale environment. We enjoyed looking at all the pictures in the hallways showing people and events from the original Deadwood area.

I had the blackened prime rib, being blackened on outside with spices did nothing for the flavor inside. It was a good prime rib but nothing spectacular. My husbands strip steak was also good but not the best he ever had. We ordered loaded potatoes, the cheese had been melted on them for some time when brought to us, it... More

This restaurant was great. We enjoyed breakfast there in the morning. It was good and not just run of the mill breakfast. We also dined there one evening and although we didn't have a big dinner, the food we had was excellent and more than we could eat.

The overall feel was a bit cheap and cheerful. Service was good but the food was only ok - slightly gloopy soup, basic salad. The prime rib was ok. Really friendly bar staff though. Overall a very average experience - wasn't bad, wasn't great

It took us 2 days to get in because there was a rally going on and they don't take reservations. Due to the high demand and the reviews here we had high expectations. Our waiter was friendly but I noticed he and the other staff were wearing rumpled t shirts which seemed inappropriate for this type of restaurant. We ordered... More

We had dinner here and it was ok. The food was ok and the prices are not too bad. There was a little confusion on who our waitress should be. However, once they settled on who should wait on us, our waitress was nice.

Thank Marilyn M
