My fiancée and I had a fantastic meal while visiting Chattanooga. We ate at chef Lindley's Nashville restaurant so this was a must and it did not disappoint. The bacon wrapped dates and quail were smoky and delicious, but the real star of the show was the pasta.

The only sort of difficulty was trying to fit in with the valet system which is cost free. A little confusing in that area. When walking you are greeted well and struck by the décor and ambiance. Exposed brick walls with a bit of plaster still there. I was seated facing the chef's line which is interesting to watch them... More

This is our top pick when we think of dining downtown. The service is always excellent and the food is superb. We love the gas lighting in the front dining room and the table of dripping candles is so unique. Sit near the open kitchen if you want a good feel of the care they take with the food and... More

Special family evening celebrating a birthday. Free valet parking is a great perk. Restaurant was quiet enough so that we could all converse at a normal volume level. Service was excellent - never waited for refills. Appetizers were excellent - I highly recommend the Calamari and the Antipasto for 2 (which really was plenty for 4). Cocktails were excellent. Entrees... More

We met in the bar for drinks and never left... it was so cozy and cumfy and the food was interesting and thoughtfully prepared. We especially like the charcuterie plate... service was excellent and atmosphere inviting. I love they have valet parking.

This place is way overrated. I've been to this restaurant 3 times in the last 3 years and each time I keep wishing it will be better, and I'm disappointed each time. I went this time with a bunch of coworkers and most of us were unhappy with our meals. I got the angel hair pasta with the shrimp, my... More

I took a work colleague here to try something new. The host and wait staff were fantastic even throughout a power failure (storms). Our food was excellent and the waiter extremely attentive. They have some superb dishes that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere like the bacon wrapped quail. I recommend the ravioli dish and the fried broccoli with... More

I still crave their bruschetta and veal/pasta dish. The flavor combinations are spectacular. Everything about this place is fantastic. - The food is amazing - The venue is a beautiful atmosphere, serene and romantic. - The service was spot on! You will not regret visiting. They do offer valet, which I would recommend otherwise their is a pay parking lot... More

Description
Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.
