I stopped in for a quick lunch and the service was excellent. I started with the tamales because I had heard great things. They were good, but a little bland for my tastes. I have to say the coleslaw they came with paired very well. The baked beans that came later were okay, but as you would expect, the fried... More

Our first Champy's experience was Lee Hwy/Shallowford Rd location. We had the chicken platter and must claim it to be some of the best fried chicken that I've had. Sides were excellent too. The outside dining area is great. Lots of TVs for viewing pleasure; football season should be a blast. My only concern was the outside bar area. It... More

Excellent chicken. My boyfriend had the crawdad's and said they were really good too, but after tasting my chicken he got an order of chicken to go for himself!

We took the advice here on Trip Advisor and tried Champy's Parking is a challenge. There is a small lot with not many spots to park. There is a choice of inside or outside seating. We opted for inside. We were surprised at the "bar" atmosphere (Dimly lit, large bar, not many tables, waitresses in short shorts ...) We chose... More

Food was good. Staff was friendly at they're new location. Went in uniform (Army) and was told they don't offer a military discount.

If you love chicken, this is the place for you. Another restaurant off the beaten path but with really good food. The chicken is prepared upon order so you get it piping hot, crunchy, and moist. The portion sizes are plentiful. We ate outside. I gave it 4 stars because I would have like to have fried green tomatoes offered... More

We figured since in the south we better have some fried chicken. Champie's was recommended by our hotel staff & they didn't stear us wrong. The chicken is crispy and has a little peppery kick to.it but not overwhelming, even our "heat sensitive " 11 year enjoyed it! The beans were tasty, more of what we call a calico Bean... More

I was expecting the chicken to be spicy I guess. That being said, the portions were huge and the fries were great.
