John the owner is there looking over things most of the time. Very friendly and appreciates his customers. I have been going there for years, and most of the time at least once or twice a week. Great food and good, friendly service!

My husband picked this restaurant out of the phone book since it was the only one with a menu we could look at and even included prices. The best pick my husband could have made for us. We seated right away and order took really quick. We shared a Greek salad that was loaded with lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, olives,... More

My fiance and I were visiting the area as we are going to relocate to Tennessee! I checked for recommendations for local restaurants! The Epicurean was highly rated for several reasons - WE AGREE WITH ALL! The food was excellent and the service was impeccable! Although we both had the pork chops, turnip greens, and squash casserole, we differed on... More

I'm surprised this place gets so many bad reviews. I was expecting mediocre, but it was excellent. Yes, it's old school, but in a good way. I like some of the more old fashioned simple touches. For example, the tossed salad is made with crisp, cold iceberg lettuce, fresh veggies, and served with homemade dressing and a basket of assorted... More

My son brought home 5 fried fish take out dinners which we ate as a late lunch. They gave you three nice pieces of fresh, great French fries and a cornbread shaped muffin. We all so enjoyed this food and will be back. You can eat in or take out.

I had the cat fish, fires and slaw....the cat fish was good...fries OK and the slaw also just OK. This is a popular place to eat in East Ridge but I thought I was a little too much $$ for the food I got...it's not expensive but didn't think I got much food for the cost...I will give it another... We found that Epicurean was open in Labor Day. We were pretty excited. We were meeting a young friend and wanted a great meal. I usually get their pork chops, best in town. Ended up getting a Greek Gyro Salad. Great family that runs the place. Always clean and great service.

This restaurant has been around for 40 plus years and plays to the family and seniors meals. along with all the greek dishes and they are outstanding, each lunch and each dinner have 8 to 10 feathured dishes with an abundance of vegetables, fresh when available,at prices mostly under $10.00. Almost as good as Mom's cooking. Give it a try.... More

We have been going to the Epicurean since the 1980's. I can never remember having a poor experience there. Their pork chops are to die for, the baklava yummy, and their cheese rolls melt in your mouth. It is hard to maintain quality over the long haul but the Epicurean has managed to without reinventing themselves. They still serve delicious,... More
