I'd like to give Zarzour's 5 stars. Unfortunately, I can't. There were 3 of us for this meal. William & I had burgers & fries. There were perfect. My mom had Fried livers, mashed potatoes & gravy and pintos. The liver was overcooked to the point she couldn't bit through it. The potatoes and gravy were room temperature at best.... More

Yes, you read right. This restaurant has been in business for over 100 years.... recently rated as the best burger in Tennessee, nothing fancy at all....you may hear a little bantering back & forth between management & customers but it's all "love bantering". great vegetables & the best damn burger in town for sure. You may see movers & shakers... More

We were taking the US 27 route from Florida to Cincinnati and found ourselves in Chattanooga. The Road Food book recommended this place and they didn't steer us wrong! The place was filled with 'locals' and 'regulars' and we were treated like we were regulars too. Friendly people on both sides of the counter served great comfort food that kept... More

Lived in Chattanooga my whole life and had never eaten here until today 8-16-16. The workers where very friendly and the food was terrific. I can't wait to eat here again soon

This is good old country cooking' at it's best. Great cornbread, pintos & real mashed potatoes like my grandma used to make. deserts like peanut butter pie is what I had on the last visit. Cheeseburgers that no one can compare to. Shannon & Mary are simply a dynamic duo who crank out the food without a lot of wait... More

Although I lived in Chattanooga growing up, I never knew this place existed. But when I was back visiting family, we decided to check it out due to the recent Southern Living article. It was a great little no frills place with very friendly people - wait staff and patrons alike. The menu isn't extensive, but everything is home made... More

I finally got to go eat a cheeseburger here. Look no farther if you are looking for small, off-the-beaten path (but only by one block) place with friendly and real wait staff. I especially enjoyed being immersed in a sense of family pride as I looked at the pictures and memorabilia lining the pine walls of the front room. The... More

Despite living in Chattanooga for a very long time none of the members in our group had been to Zarzours. There is plenty of free on street parking. The exterior is very unassuming and the interior looks as though it hasn't changed in years. It felt a bit like "Cheers" as the staff and customers all seemed to know each... More

Sit down (elbow to elbow) with the local gang and order up some great grub! Get one of the specials, if they're not already sold out, or a cheeseburger. Yep, it's a dive. Yep, the waitresses might give you some lip and the stink-eye. But where else can you order pickled beets as one of your 'sides'? If your blood... More

I have eaten everything they cook and love all of it. It may be more the atmosphere than the food with Shannon and Mary always entertaining! Seriously good burgers (which is all you will get if you show up after 2) and great veggies. I have seen Shannon shop for turnip greens so I know they are fresh - delicous.... More
