I grew up in NJ about 35 mi from NYC and have eaten plenty of NJ and NY pizza and this joint is doing a pathetic impersonation of NY pizza...trust me. This pizza is so dry and the 2 slices I ordered were stiff as a board. NY/NYC pizza, by the slice, is supposed to be "floppy" enough to fold... More

We went to the Turkey Creek location for Pizza. There were just 2 of us dining. First, the pizza was very good. Really liked it. That being said, we were disappointed that they have one size pizza. Large, no options. With just 2 of us, we would have preferred a smaller size. The waiter also advised that the sandwiches do... More

Always a great meal! The seafood pasta is always my go to. But last time I tried the Bolognese. Jeez, that stuff was gooooood! Want to try the meatballs next but it's always a tough. Never tried the pizza, but have heard praises for it as well.

Tried the new Gavinos in Turkey Creek. I was looking forward to eating here. The service was lack luster, the food took forever to get with only six tables occupied. I was really disappointed.

I picked up a pizza that was parcooked so that we could finish it off in our home oven! It was delicious! Way better than delivery! Highly recommended!!

We have been meaning to stop in here for over a year and did so just yesterday. We ordered the Original Pizza. It was busy but our waiter was very nice and did all the right things. However, he couldn't make or cook the pizza. Crust all the way around was black, from being burnt. He should never have served... More

I have eaten at Gavino's many, many times, in both small and large groups, and I have considered each meal to be outstanding. Pasta dishes, salads, and pizzas are consistently top-notch. Gavin, the original owner, did a fantastic job in staffing and running the restaurant. The new ownership has done nothing to upset the apple cart! I must comment on... More

This is only my second time eating at Gavino's. I live out of town, but have family in Knoxville. Evidently, for the holiday season, it is becoming a tradition that we go to Gavino's after we have been ice skating! We got there later in the evening, on December 26th, around 8 p.m. There were 17 of us, including 11... More

My teenage son and I had dinner recently at Gavino's Pizzeria. The service was stellar as the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with suggestions. She made sure the drinks were refilled and delivered the meals promptly. I had the baked ziti and it was okay. My son had spaghetti and he said is was fine. Overall, the... More

Stopped for dinner on Pizza Day, first time visit, and Oh Boy! were we in for a treat! Great old style pizza parlor with an attitude, great server interaction, ordered the White Pizza and it was a beautiful crust with fantastic flavors that did not overpowered each other: bacon, anchovies, banana peppers and fresh basil were the perfect combination. The... More
