The food and service were very good. The hummus and fried goat cheese apps were tasty. They also had live music on the weekend.

Great food, great service, and entertainment kept us there for 3 hours. Our server made us very comfortable. She recommended wine, appetizers, & entrees that we very very satisfied with. No room for desert due to the generous portions. Jazz entertainment topped off the evening. We will absolutely return when we visit Tennessee again. Thank You all!

- Server (Nathaniel) was great. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. - Fried Goat Cheese with fig jam: perfectly cooked, great texture, nice fruity mildly-sweet jam was a good pairing - Shrimp Skewer: served over rice with an earthy chimichurri sauce, brilliantly conceptualized and would have been perfectly executed but for the lack of the aforestated skewer. - White Bean Perogies w Braised... Tasty place with tasty food. Fun decor. Terrific wait staff. The brussel sprouts appetizer is worth a drop by and ask about the specials.

After visiting the Blount Mansion and the James White Fort we asked where was good to eat. To,d about his place and went for lunch.Surprisingly given the name it's more like a British Pub apart from the classical female nude above the bar.The beer and burgers were really good. There is live music some days which we may go back for

Went there for lunch yesterday after discovering Kaizen Izakaya (a real up and comer on the downtown scene!) was closed for lunch on Mondays. Packed with a crowd of downtown workers. Menu offerings unexciting but settled on a dish I'd never tried before, beef cheek grilled cheese. Tasty enough but won't order again. Also noticed an 18-egg omelet on the... More

...it's a gem! And definitely vegetarian-friendly. My husband and I visited the Bijou during our time at the Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia. Our server was attentive and personable, the atmosphere really cozy and relaxing, and the food was great. I had the best mushroom bisque I've ever tasted and a veggie burger that puts to shame... Stumbled upon this unique place with my husband. The food was phenomenal and the service was just as good. I had the blackened chicken sandwich with the jalapeño pimento cheeses. WOW!!! Huge juicy perfectly seasoned and obviously delicious. We live over the mountain in North Carolina and I would drive the 2 1/2 hours again just to eat here again!!... More

I have never noticed this little bistro before but discovered it for the first time during a Knoxville Food Tour. The food was phenomenal and I love that that they source as much as they can locally. The food is made fresh & offers a seasonal menu to take advantage of the great taste of fresh produce. The staff was... More
