I was jones'n for a sandwich in Knoxville today and stumbled across Frussie's on TripAdvisor. I placed my order online which was simple and customizable. Sandwich was getting wrapped as I arrived and it was great - pleased enough with my experience to give them an excellent review.

The Italian sandwich is amazing. The bread is so fresh it is still soft. They have a flavoring they put on the french loaf that just makes the sandwich shine. The meats, cheeses, toppings, and condiments come together to create this perfect sandwich. I discovered that the owner makes all the bread in house daily and you can even pick... More

I've yet to find a Reuben as good as Frussie's. I've searched NYC. The proportions at Frussie's have always made for the perfect bite. Other favorites here: Italian, James Dicks Favorite, the Dubliner (brunch), monte Christo (brunch), and the brownie. Their brownies are fudgy heaven. The meats are cures in house and the bread is baked fresh from scratch daily.... More

Really nice deli in downtown Knoxville. We had a tuna salad sandwich and a philly cheese steak sandwich, both of which were excellent. Service was quick and prices are reasonable.

Delicious. We were looking for a nice lunch before attending a recent show downtown and stumbled upon Frussies new location on Gay Street. What a pleasant surprise. Our table tried several sandwich options - the Italian Sub, the James Dick's Favorite, the Chicken Salad, and the Downtown Havana. All were excellent and prepared on fresh bread, but the favorite of... More

Homemade bread, top quality ingredients, and each item made to order in their newer location on Gay St. at Cumberland. With their great selection of house, classic, or DIY sandwiches, sides, and in house sweets, lunch is always outstanding, as is the Saturday brunch

I went with the simple order of a BLT. The service was great as they were more than happy to ex-nay the L and replace with C (cheese). Had I read previous review I really would have gone for the Reuben, which I will try in the future. The freshness of ingredients and house made bread made the sandwich. Construction... More

This shop is relatively new to the Gay Street list of restaurants, although the owner has been in business for several years in Knoxville. The ingredients are fresh, the sandwiches basic and very good. This is located just across the street and north from the First Tennessee Plaza building. They are also within two blocks of the city/county building. We... More
