Relief from the ubiquitous carveries. Here's a snug 18th century pub (we were seated next to the welcome turf fireplace on a raw and rainy day) with a modern approach to dining. The ingredients come from a list of local producers and fishermen. My calamari...More

Exceptional food and friendly staff. All the fish dishes are superb but there is also an extensive menu for non-fish eaters. Warm ambiance.

We dropped in for lunch without a reservation and were attended to immediately. The oysters were very good and the chowder excellent. Everything was served with a cheerful word and smile and it would be great if O'Dowds was not so far away from home!
