Every experience I've had at Ambledown is like a fairytale. There is an atmosphere there like no other and it has to be one of my favourite places to spend an evening. Pizza and BYOB, what more could you ask for? And lovely during the day too.

Ambledown Cottage offers the best pizza. Presentation of all dishes surpasses expectation. It is a firm favourite with locals and tourists.

Fantastic pizza and lovely service. Can't fault this place at all and will certainly be returning. Dinner by candlelight. Very romantic.

Our book club met at this venue, they were so accommodating. We had starters to share, varied and all delicious. We shared pizza's equally delicious. You can bring your own drinks. Charming setting, staff excellent and highly recommended for tea or pizza! So looking forward to taking my friends and family to visit again soon.

Food was reasonable and good size portions but the corkage is a bit ridiculous. Being charged €7.00 to bring in one bottle of wine and then they are reluctant to even open it or pour it. It would be worth it if you are drinking more than one bottle!

This is a must when visiting Glaslough. It is different from all other Restaurants. Simple menu but done very well. And loved the two young lads that came in and played music. Keep up the great work.

Went here on Saturday night with 8 in our party. Unusual choice of ingredients for the pizza's e.g. feta cheese, pulled pork to name a few. Excellent mediterrean starters as well. Food is excellent and the venue is very quaint and unique. You will not have a more unique experience and service is great. 2 lads also go around with... More

We were informed they did not serve alcohol with meals but could bring our own. Was surprised when Bill had 2 x courage charge given that the option to buy wine from the restaurant did not exist.
