Well worth a trip to this fine dining indian restaurant. We eat out regularly and travel extensively and this restaurant was outstanding. We chose from the a la carte menu and enjoyed everything we ate. I particularly enjoyed the monkfish starter. Highly recommended.

You absolutely must visit Saffrons if you are in jersey. We are real foodies and found the food here magical! We had the tasting menu and every course delighted. If only they could just make the bar area more welcoming (a bit like a hotel...More

We chose this restaurant as it was fine dining but we were intrigued as to what we would find as it wasn't a traditional Indian restaurant. It is located in the The Hotel De France, which is a lovely, grand old building with a beautiful...More

It's always a pleasure to visit Saffrons. The food is sublime, with spices and herbs being used to bring out fantastic flavours in the best meat, fish and veg. The staff are very friendly and the tasting menu with prestige wine pairing comes highly recommended.

Saffrons was recommended to us during our holiday in Jersey. We were told that there was a £30 tasting menu. However, we went on a Friday & were told that this deal was not available on Fridays or Saturdays. Instead we had to pay £63...More

Description
Saffrons cuisine is the healthy balance and combination of Indian spices and local ingredients."The unusual combination of spices used successfully creates an amazing yet healthy dining experience. The result - lighter and healthier dishes, but still with the intense flavours that make Indian cooking so unique. All the taste but none of the cholesterol. The Concept:The Foundation of our cooking is based on sourcing quality local products. By utilizing such products as hand dived scallops, line caught sea bass and local vegetables, we are having products at their peak quality at the right time (seasonality) and reducing food miles which affects the quality of the product as well as the environment. The Technique:The cooking methods are inspired from different regions of India; seafood recipes from Goa to richer dishes from Punjabi in the north. We utilize a clay oven, called Tandoor, to retain the authenticity of such dishes as Naan bread and all Tandoories. Modern European techniques such as slow cooking, low temperature and sous-vide are used to perfect the blend of spices and quality of the product. The Presentation:Dishes are presented simply in a modern European way, letting the food 'do-the-talking' rather than masking the food in heavy garnishing and sauces. The essence is to retain the intensity of flavours but allow for lighter and healthier dishes.
