Went in late evening for a nightcap. Very popular with locals, who are really polite to visitors. Found a table to sit ar and watch the rugby on the tv. Drinks reasonably priced for a town centre. Pub is the opposite of Dr Wno's Tardis. Appears much bigger from outside and watch the step at the entrance.
Saturday night and they managed to squeeze 6 of us in for dinner that had been recommended and with good reason. The restaurant was packed and the food was testament to it's popularity a bit hotter than the average dish but the flavours were outstanding which is what it's all about really. The service was superb and everyone was so... More
We went to this restaurant last Saturday evening on the off chance of getting a table. We hadn't booked and they were very busy but a member of staff told us that a table was coming free about 15 mins later. We waited and were seated quicker than first thought. To start we shared onion bhaji and vegetable samosa- the... More
Went with a large group of friends (15 or so) and had a set menu. The service was fine and the food was great, but a group of about 8 or 10 blokes on the adjacent table(s) were so loud that, for over an hour, we could hardly hear ourselves. They couldn't talk at normal levels and just shouted the... More

Called in on Friday night, staff accommodated us without a reservation despite having 2 large groups dining, we waited for around 10 minutes for the table, we started with popadoms, chutney & lime pickle, then 2 mixed kebabs to share which were beautifully presented & tasted amazing. The mains arrived which consisted of chicken Makhani, Khatti Meeti, Chicken Rogan Josh... More
After searching on trip adviser for a good place to eat I ventured to the Indian Ocean. The food was really good as was the service. If you're after a really good indian meal in St Helier then this is the place to go.
Our flight was cancelled (due to fog) and so we had to find somewhere to eat in St Helier before taking the ferry in the evening. After looking at TA reviews we settled on Indian Ocean. Very good Indian food, maybe a little bit oily, the poppadoms seemed a bit over-cooked, the service was a bit haphazard (difficult to find... More
Went with my hubby and daughter - the food is very good - excellent choices and some different things on the menu - quite pricey but would definitely go back
