Good food friendly staff. Pub, not bistro, gastro or niche. Well prepared hot food in a traditional local. Love it here second visit

Always pop into The Landsdowne when visiting my dad in Dawlish. Staff are always very pleasant with excellent service. Serve good food, baguettes and Scotch Eggs to die for. Always sport on the tele so enough to keep the other half happy.

A proper pub with everything you want. Good, well priced drinks, friendly staff and locals and very nice food. Add to this loads of sport on tv, pool, darts and live music and you've got The Lansdowne. Love coming here when we visit Dawlish.

My family and I visit here often. Always a friendly welcome from all of the staff and the owner makes you feel like your right at home! We have only ordered the breakfast, which is really good and great value, however I do plan to visit at some point for the main menu. They serve a good pint too. He... More

Visited recently for an early evening meal. Staff friendly but food was sadly of very poor quality and badly cooked. We ordered the 2 Rib Eye steaks at £9.50, so not a fortune but we expected it to be edible and enjoyable ! Sadly both we were overcooked, chewy and tasteless. The chips were also dry and overcooked, the mushrooms... More

We arrived with a party of 14 (6 adults 5 teenagers and 3 children aged 6-10) with only a couple of hours notice. The table had been reserved and we proceeded to order. It's true to say we did have to wait for a considerable amount of time for our food, but when it arrived every dish was faultless, nothing... More

A lovely spacious pub with a fantastic sun terrace. We only stopped for a beer to cool down on a rare hot summers day, but were made very welcome by Emma who served us. On ordering another beer she remembered our order, which always impresses me and shows great service. The sun terrace was fitted out to be enjoyed in... More

Whilst on holiday in Dawlish, we went to The Landsdowne as four adults and two children under 18 months. It is quite a large pub with a varied menu. The service was polite and the food was good; however, it did take over 30 minutes for the food to arrive (not ideal with young children) and even then the order... More
