We stayed three nights and ate all our meals here. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble. The evening specials were tasty and reasonably priced, the steaks are a must. The local beer is very good. The pub is unusual and some reviews are not complementary, however this is born of trying to keep a village alive,... More

For two days in a row, I especially enjoyed the good English breakfast of bacon and bangers. The restaurant has a breath-taking view of the River Dart.

We have stayed over at Greenway for a few years now, but always make a be line for this pub. It has everything you could imagine. We have done our shopping there before for our evening meal whilst having coffee and cakes. Do try it if you are in the area.

Called in after a long journey and it felt like stumbling into some bizarre cross between between a comedy and a horror movie. The food was terrible, particularly the fish - it was very rubbery.

This pub has a bit of everything - bar, shop, restaurant, take away & post office. Very useful for topping up on essentials as has a very well stocked shop for its size. Good beer selection and sensibly priced. Down side is it needs a good tidy up, particularly outside on the patio area. Had a take away one evening... More

We found the food at the Red Lion excellent - especially the fish and chips! The pub also has a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Okay so you have to give this place a chance. When we first walked in we almost walked straight back out. It's half shop half pub. It's totally bizarre! We couldn't book in anywhere else so we had no choice and we said "if it's no good we will have to complain" well we were greatly surprised the food was... More

This pub also doubles as the village shop and post office and shop is open from 8.30 am and continues during pub opening hours. We visited most evenings for a drink while staying nearby and ate on two occasions. The food was variable with the sea bass special being tiny and even with potatoes and salad more of a starter...
