After having looked forward to a rare night out with our daughter to a have an enjoyable meal together we left disappointed and dissatisfied. Ordered 2 steaks and sea bass with risotto. The steaks were ordered medium rare but when cut into them they were well done. The risotto was not a nice creamy texture but rather a thick stodgy... More

We had a delicious meal followed by a folk sing along with friends. Very friendly and welcoming group of talented musicians and people enjoying themselves. Great beer too

Visited the Hunter's Inn for dinner after a day in Lynton and Lynmouth. After a wander down to the sea at the end of Heddon Valley, we we greeted by a friendly welcome and good service. We had lamb and steak & ale pie for our mains, both with good portion sizes and very tasty. Highly recommended for anyone in... More

Coming down the beautiful Heddon Valley you can't miss this Inn, located just next to The National Trust area. Nice restaurant and pub with billiard table and chimneys. I enjoyed a lime cheesecake and a cappuccino. If you look up the road at the end of the day you might catch the peacocks coming down the road heading to the... More

We stopped at the hunters inn on the 14the March 17, there was 4 of us who all had different meals, and to say the least were all very very good, everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed, we went to this pub last year and I have to say it was a little disappointing, where this time not only did the... Stopped for lunch after walking with our dogs down to the picturesque cove at Heddons Mouth. We sat outside and had Fish & Chips and a Steak Burger with chips. Both really good. Not the cheapest but good value. Staff were all very friendly and obliging.

Stopped here for lunch, staff were very friendly (and the peacocks in the garden were entertaining!) Good menu and food was super.

You find Hunter's Inn along a winding road which is barely wide for one car! But it is worth it. We stopped off for some drinks and dessert and can only comment on these. Hubby enjoyed a couple of pints of Exmoor Stag. I had a coffee and liqueur. We shared a chocolate and pear tarte with mint and apple... More

A beautiful looking building set in a nice location. But don't be fooled it doesn't deserve the looks. Came for dinner with friends, not a good start when we asked the waiter what the soup of the day was and he 'wasn't sure'. So we ordered our starters and mains. The starters where average at best, the mushroom soup very... More
