Dear customer, Just to be clear, we do not use filter coffee. In fact we use a premium blend of South American beans which are freshly ground on site each day, and almost all of our customers rate our coffee very, very highly. However, we...More

My wife and I live locally in Cove but work away a lot. We often arrive home late and just feel like popping down to our local for a meal and a drink. We were so pleased when the Exeter Inn opened again. However, we...More

My wife and I visited for a meal on a Friday evening. The pub is very nicely presented, with numerous rooms, though we chose to eat in the bar as the restaurant was empty. There were still several tables with customers eating in the bar....More

The Exeter Inn has recently taken on new owners and we decided to pay the Inn a visit with friends. We received a very friendly welcome but after several minutes of table conversation we had to ask if the loud music could be softened as...More

My Wife & I ate here two nights running. Sea Bass one night and deliciously fish and chips the second. And we had a tapas lunch before those. Clearly, they are finding their feet but staff are friendly and the beer and food are good.

Friendly bar staff create a warm atmosphere to this pub, which has previously been a place I wouldn't have considered frequenting due to the fact that the previous owner wasn't very welcoming and the food wasn't very appetizing. Although it retains its old character/charm, it...More

Description
The Exeter Inn is a warm & welcoming traditional 15th century inn in the heart of Devon, offering a menu of locally sourced quality produce. We have recently refurbished the Inn and look forward to welcoming you to our relaxed and atmospheric country pub & kitchen. Acting as a hub to the local community we aim to cater for all requirements to a broad variety of customers, including local businesses & organisations. Our location is also ideal for touring both Devon coasts, Exmoor and Dartmoor, with easy access to M5 and A30. The Exeter area with the nearby Exmoor National Park has much to offer you as a visitor. Anything from beautiful walks in the National Park to picturesque villages by the sea. If you want urban culture why not visit Exeter itself with its impressive cathedral and ancient architecture. The nearby historic town of Bampton dates back to 700AD. It is a short walk away and contains many historic and beautiful buildings. Bampton takes its floral displays very seriously and and has won the national Britain in Bloom competition no less than six times. Our team of friendly & interactive staff will ensure a valued customer experience upon your visit, which can be pre-booked via our website or by phoning.
