Great location between the two huge car parks. Has its own small free car park if you can get in . A really proper older style pub that hasn't been modernised too much. Has a lovely old skittle alley out back too. The owner buys his fish under permit straight from the boats so you know it's fresh! Not over... More

On the recommendation of our B&B owner, we phoned ahead late afternoon and managed to get a table for early evening. Huge portions, lots of fish dishes to choose from and really tasty and creative dishes were had. Not a cheap pub eatery but we were very happy with what we paid for such excellent food and had good service... More

Enjoy coming to west bay but best of all is west bay hotel, best fish and chips. All their fish dishes are very good, also their home made puddings as well. Staff are very friendly and obliging. Pub has keep its original looks, which you don't often see these days!

Came here for lunch on route to Cornwall. The waitress was really nice, it was quiet so got to sit where we wanted. Really friendly atmosphere, didn't have that "only locals vibe" you get from some pubs. We both went for the pan cooked steak, amazing steak with sauce, would definitely be better with new potatoes though instead of crispy... More

We had diner with 8 persons to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Based on tripadvisor we decided to book here. We were disappointed. Where we sat was quite draughty. There are two doors on either side, and there was always someone coming in or going out for a smoke. The chairs are not comfortable, but most important the food was disappointing... More

We reserved a table and glad we did as the pub was fully booked on an Easter Sunday. Sadly we were generally disappointed. The staff were great but the food let them down.. We had bread and olive starters with beef carpaccio which was really very small portion, scallops were fine. The huge let down was the bread as two... More

We made a reservation for Thursday evening and were so pleased we did as it was fully booked. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and cosy interior. Plenty of specials on the board and a nice menu so it was hard to decide what to eat. We started with the sharing seafood platter and it was awesome, sublime mussels and all super fresh.... More

We stopped here on our way down to Cornwall. Great choice of Ales, friendly staff and good location close to beach. Menus were full of fish choice should we have wanted to stay and eat. Yummy!
