This is a quaint pub restaurant. The food menu is more interesting than the usual pub menu and when the food arrives it is very good. The service is good and there is an interesting selection of ales at the bar.

Lovely pub with really friendly staff. Food was great, we ate in twice and had two takeaway pizzas. The beer and wine was really good too. Best of all it's really dog-friendly, our two dogs had plenty of biscuits and fuss!!More

Needed a break after visiting the castle and this pub didnt disappoint. Had the battered fish n chips, although there was a limited choice for vegetarians on the menu.
