Lovely location, and quite a cosy pub. Unfortunately I witnessed an altercation between a member of the public(who was being calm ) and the landlord. Landlord was very offensive and lost his temper.Nasty. I will certainly not visit this place again.

This establishment came highly recommended at the place where we were staying. Went for an evening meal and had the best curry I'd eaten in a long, long time. Plenty of other choices on the menu so something to please everybody.

With 9 other friends celebrating 4 birthdays with a total of 267 years. We were stating at Hunters Moon Caravan Park so we could all go to the restaurant. Very welcoming, food choice very varied, all well presented.

The starters, we chose prawn cocktails, very very bland no flavour, prawns hanging over the glass had all the eggs still on which was off putting, shell in the lettuce, sauce tasteless, lettuce wilted, we then both ordered steak pie off the specials board, first mouthful was a lump of gristle the second mouthful also a lump of gristle, watery... Have used this Inn before and have found the food always of the best quality the service is second to none very attentive but not overdone and the fact that children are not allowed in the restaurant makes for a very peaceful and relaxing time..

We were pleasantly surprised that no children are allowed in the bar, but dogs are! We like that because not many places think the same as us! The food was good ,big portions and nice and hot, plenty of choice, I would say it's a little overpriced but the foods and service were all good. We'll be back !

We visited this restaurant last Friday night, it had a good selection on the menu and a specials board. We were both happy with our choice of food that night and would go there again if in the area. One down side was no children are aloud inside which is ashame as I would of gone back another night but... More

We had a meal at the Silent Women . It was ok but expensive for the food you get. The prices are not pub grub . The cheapest meal is scampi, so if you only want ham egg and chips well you have had it!! It was average . Probably wont go back .

What a lovely traditional pub.How we wish we had one like this that was local to us.Lovely warm and welcoming staff and a great landlord and landlady.Very well run and a pleasure to visit despite having 'Goose' our dog with us,who was made more than welcome. We ate here on 2 separate evenings and had good food on both occasions. All the... After reading some reviews and friends saying they had been here years ago and it was lovely, we thought we would try it. Sadly it really didn't meet our expectations, we were the only people in there at lunchtime which created no atmosphere whatsoever, you felt like you had to whisper unless you wanted the staff listening to every conversation...
