We went here on our day trip to Anstruther. Service was great, very attentive and food was lovely! Would go back again.

Very crowded, good food and good service. parking was not too bad. Had to wait in line to get seated. Long line for take out, too, but it was fun to sit in the restaurant.

I wouldn't say it was a bad experience. However, after hearing all the hype and having to wait in a queue that was akin to a theme park, I was left rather disappointed. The fish & chips were fine, but definitely nothing special. On the...More

Yet again another lovely visit to Anstruther. We come every couple of years for the fish and chips here. Never disappointed and worth the wait every time.

Love this fish & chip restaurant. Yes the queue is long but it is so worth the wait - I prefer not sitting in the restaurant itself but taking my meal outside to the harbour, weather dependent of course! They also do chippie sauce which...More

Been there a few times but last week was poor, more fish and less batter would have been good. Breadcrumbed fish was dry but tasty, would consider going somewhere else next time.

The Magpie in Whitby was our own benchmark for top quality fish & chips, and I now add Anstruther FB to that short list. My hake was great, the batter superb, and our shared side of Whitebait exquisite. My wife had the salmon and dill...More

Poor quality and not cheap. Chips were particularly awful. No lemon and you have to pay extra for tartare sauce, wee Hurrie in Troon gives you both free, not to mention fish and chips are much better quality. Wouldn't go back.

Hi janetasker, I believe it opens from 11:30am =21:00pm on Easter Sunday. A local person told me the other fish bars close by are now better tho.
