2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

We found the newly renovated PHT crowded and very noisy. The menu looked OK, but the liberal over use of cream made meals inedible. My pasta was returned , it was revolting but there was a half heated apology and no refund. My husband's Arran beer was easily £1.00 more than at island's hotels. Lamlash needs a good local pub,... Driving around Arran and needed a spot of lunch - warm and welcoming with a reasonable range of options on the menu - the soup of the day was lovely and the haggis was also very good - certainly recommended

Visited here for drinks and some food. The seating is fairly formal and could do with a lounge/more comfortable area. However the interior is nice with a good selection of bottled beers. Unfortunately no Arran beer on tap. The food was good and very quick to come out. The staff were very pleasant.

Thank you for your lovely review. We have Arran Beer on tap during the season which has just ended as unfortunately the locals are not generally interested in drinking it! Hope you come again to sample all our real ales! Jane More

I came in for a quick meal ,having previously only had a pint or 2 of their excellent draught beer. I found out what I had been missing... proper food! None of your "Resting On A Bed Of " rubbish that seems to be fashionable nowadays. Nice staff and good service. Will be back soon. I fancy the steak next... More

It's easy to miss this tavern. It's off the main seafront road tucked away on the left near the boat yard. Well worth a trip. Nice beers and lagers on tap, a roaring fire and one of the best venison burgers EVER. Thank you - we ll be back!

This is a 'must visit' gem of a place in Lamlash. The town itself is lovely, overlooking the Holy Isle. We had a lovely light lunch on a Saturday visit, perfect Cullen Skink for me was a highlight. The girls who looked after us did so with the right level of engagement and genuinely asked to make sure everything was... More

Visited each day of our three night stay and would recommend. Vey good service, the girls do a very professional job and are always very welcoming. Nicely decorated, good food, good drink and excellent location. Had live music on the Saturday night, Dr Feelgood or something and although not our style of music, they were good and so was the... Arrived looking for a hot drink before our segway in Brodick. Although not actually open yet the lady welcomed us in and having been in before it was nice to see the place all refurbished to a high standard. The whisky shelf adds a nice touch. The new upstairs terrace is great and will be fabulous on a warm summers... More

This inn seems to be a big social hub on arran. Packed with locals on music night. Bright and lively. Good quality beer and a very good whisky selection. The band was also pretty local with an arran take on electric blues numbers - enthusiastic but not the greatest act in blues history! I did not sample the food.
