Realised we had eaten in here before over a year ago when we entered so we had no qualms about what to expect, staff excellent, food excellent, portions more than adequate, all in all, great value in a comfortable stting, better than the mass produced production line of major chain eateries.

We visited The George as we were staying in Largs for the weekend, after the usual walk around the shops and things with my better half, we retired to the pub. It had everything that I required. 1. Reasonably priced drinks 2. Football on the TV 3. Betting shop a few doors down.

Myself, my wife and my 2 daughters went for lunch here on 29th and were very impressed. The blonde waitress serving us was fantastic giving us information on the soup of the day and recommending a dessert that she had eaten and loved it. She was also great with my 5yr old daughter making her and us feel very welcome.... More

Visited The George on a family weekend break in Largs. Just had drinks as we had booked dinner in another venue. We were made welcome with our little well behaved dog. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Largs. Food looked good so will try it next time.

Unpretentious Unpretentious food that needs no help from fancy presentation, from the moment you taste the first mouthful, the adage you eat with your eyes is redundant for a blind man, would know he was tasting quality, perfection, that could demand far more than the extremely reasonably priced menu, offered by the helpful, pleasant staff that compliments the homely food,... Decent quiet pub, no sky sports was a shame but the entertainment stands at the back of the bar, loud, argumentative, and opinionated

3 of us visited the george with our small dog, on seating the 1st question we were asked was "does your dog want a bowl of water?" which was very welcoming, the food was amazing & even though we were told it may take longer than usual as they had a party of 20 to cater for it only took... More
