Popped in here by chance for fish and chips, ended up dining in, and having an excellent meal! A standard menu complimented with a "specials" board meant I sat down to a Sirloin steak! Service was friendly and attentive. I will visit again!

Upon entering we were "greeted" by the senior man, and told where to sit. The waiter was brusque and looked fed-up with his job and his life. When another couple came in he told them where to sit, but they preferred another table; he would not allow it - they left immediately! The food was low-rent, not cooked properly and... More

I was greeted by a staff member at the door who asked 'how many?'. No smile, no welcome. I replied 'just me!'. The restaurant was about a quarter full. He pointed to a long table with others sitting at it. I asked (politely) if I could maybe have a corner table (plenty empty) so I could keep my rucksack out... More

The sign outside says 'traditional fish and chips' I don't think so!! We didn't sit in we had a takeaway which was awful. Cheap quality frozen chips which are not cooked properly and I had a macaroni pie (the base was like carboard, obviously been microwaved too long). My husband had a sausage supper, the sausage was cooked without batter!!... More

I have honestly never seen anything like this. Unbelievable. I dined here more than 6 months ago but having just downloaded Trip Adviser I had to leave a review now because of just how horrible it was. We ordered the veggie burger and it was literally a soggy patty they had probably bought from Tescos in between two lacklustre pieces... More

We went here yesterday as we were on a tour and parked nearby. Wish we hadn't bothered. When we first went inside the man said table for two? Yes please. So he ushered us over to the window, a table with four chairs. I hung my wet coat on one and proceeded to sit down. He rushed over to tell... More

The owner/manager. Will judge you. He does not like you just ordering drinks. We were considering ordering lunch but decided not to. He thinks that he is God's gift. Does not like English people! That's the empression that we got.! Even though he is foreign himself!!! Personally I would recommend going over the road to The Bothy. Owner/manager respect your... More

Dropped in past here today for a coffee while the rain was on. It was 2.30 in the afternoon and the place had about 7 other customers finishing meals. We ordered a coffee and hot chocolate, only to be told "no, you can't only order hot drinks". He then added "we will give you them to take away". I thought... More

No rating for this horrible cafe. Awful rude staff. Our food order was wrong, as were the orders at several tables round us - the staff were unapologetic and loathe to rectify their mistakes. This is not a cheap place to eat and the food, when it did arrive, was basic and uninspiring. There are other places to eat here... More

Weren't really impressed with the dinner we had. Serving size was ok but the food was very basic and not great. Service wasn't that great either.
