We visited the whitebridge hotel in October. On our first night we went in for a meal we had our dog with us who is unsure of other dogs so we were able to sit through in a quieter area. The men at the table enjoyed a few of the local beers and really enjoyed happy chappy. I found out... More

Stayed at the Wildside Lodges only about 200 m from hotel. Very friendly staff and food was great. Not shy with the portions either. Try the fish (half a whale more like!!) very fresh and very tasty. Great wee find.

This little place is on the opposite side of the loch from the main road so you have to go looking for it. It's closer to Fort Augustus than Inverness. Although the building looked a bit tired from the outside and a bit dull and dark on the inside, the staff and the food soon made us feel welcome and... More

Called in earlier in the day to book a table for two, asked for a table in the restaurant by the window, and mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. When we arrived for dinner we had a complimentary bottle of presseco waiting for us at the table. Staff were brilliant and food fantastic.

Its the half way point between Fort Augustus and Inverness so with Loch Ness Trail I was expecting better.Open but deserted at 4.30pm wandered about the bars and games room to no avail, eventially found a large hand bell on the bar counter. That worked, a nice pint of larger and the guy vanished again? Beginning to feel a bit... More

The hotel was brilliant, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is situated in the Monadliath mountains with a great view and only 10 mins away from Loch Ness. The rooms were in great condition and the food was very good with a decent selection suitable for everyone

This felt like the only place on the quiet side of Loch Ness, about halfway down between Dores and Fort Augustus. We were a bit undecided on what to order so decided to split the fish and chips. Probably a mistake as we were fighting for each bite. The haddock had just been delivered by the fishmonger and it showed... More
