We booked in for the twice-monthly Sunday brunch. Arrival is grand, coming up the impressive drive to the wonderfully-refurbished hotel on a morning when the rain clouds decided to part and let the glorious sun shine down on us. The dining room was bright and had incredible views over the Forth of Clyde (when the clouds dissipated). We were shown... More

A truly impressive location, mouth-watering menu, exceptional food, a varied selection of wines and a very professional sommelier, attentive service. A memorable dinner. What's not to like?

Dinner in the 1906 restaurant was first class, the menu was good the staff knowledgeable, we could not fault the restaurant at all, worth a visit when you are next at Turnberry.

Cannot complain about the service, but the atmosphere is stark. It requires some colour ans atmosphere. The £45.00 fixed three course menu is good value, presentation again a bit stark. For the price a bit of colour would help. As hotel restaurants go at an upmarket establishment, nothing great. The supply of bread with a dip and the start, why?

We had breakfast in 1906 after an overnight stay in the hotel. The breakfast was really nice and the staff faultless. There was a reasonable choice of cereal, but disappointingly no porridge either for self selection or on the cooked menu option. The continental buffet was good with a never-ending supply of cold meats, salmon, fruit and cakes. the individual... More

First time fine dining with my partner. Could not fault the food just didn't have a clue what we where ordering. We asked a couple of members of staff but there English wasn't very good. But we eat and loved it.

We loved our experience of dining here, because we love Turnberry. But I'm not sure all the decor changes really add to the experience overall. The 1906 room used to be the beautiful , stylish Ailsa Bar but it's now all white walls and ceiling, pale ivory roman blinds and stark white tablecloths and seems very empty somehow. For such a... More

Cannot praise the restaurant enough for excellent service and friendly staff all night. Winter Menu was well thought and choices varied. Tried several dishes and all were excellent. Also had crepes cooked and served at the table which was great as the pastry chef explained the dish as he cooked it. Very popular. Lovely setting as well. You get what... More
