Fantastic hotel bar well stocked with so e great whiskies. The Port Charlotte Hotel bottle was my favourite of the evening. The music on the Wednesday night is fantastic. The staff are great too, particularly as they went out of their way to help us...More

Had an excellent evening dinner here on 11th September. Staff very nice and friendly - looked after my wife very well on her birthday - even with a complementary drink. Great service and excellent food. We really enjoyed our evening.

Short visit for lunch in between distillery visits. Although they were almost finished the lunch service they were happy to accomodate us. Soup and/or sandwiches all round were tasty and good value. The barman also took some time to discuss some of the local whiskies.

We came to the hotel's pub restaurant twice. One for drinks and live music and then again for a quick lunch. Both times we were not disappointed. Huge whisky list at standard prices, a great glaswegian pub host, a fairly genuine place all in all....More

This is a lovely hotel with cosy bar and live music. For food at peak season it books up. We were placed in the conservatory which lacked a bit of atmosphere. Veggie curry was ok but could have been more thermally hot. Will stick to...More

I reviewed the Port Charlotte several years ago, and had previously been left disappointed with the value and in particular the service. I appreciate people have 'off nights' and all that, and so returned open minded. Yes, sometimes in Islay, the service may be most...More

Our bar meals are served between 5.30 and 8.30 p.m. Our dining room serves between 6.30 and 9.00 p.m. I would advise you call the hotel on 01496 850360 to book a table as this evening is already heavily booked. Thank you
