Myself and my sister were very lucky to have been invited to our good friends wedding at The Three Chimneys last weekend. From beginning to end the staff were attentive and friendly, joining in on the excitement of the wedding. We stayed in the stunning house over by which is an absolute treat. The wedding was intimate allowing for us... More

My wife and I were staying on Skye for a few days at the end of February and by chance passed The Three Chimneys on the way to Neist Point Light House. Returning later in the day and as most restaurants were still closed for the season, we were glad to see the lights on and stopped to peruse the... More

We had the 9 course tasting menu and first off as expected the food was magnificent, the combinations of ingredients and cooking methods worked really well. Unfortunately the service was terribly awkward and really detracted from the meal, we both felt very uncomfortable, as if the waiting staff wanted to get us through our food as quick as possible. There... More

Undoubtedly one of the tastiest meals we've ever savoured ... but way too pricey, so we probably won't be back, unless we win the Lottery! Couldn't even afford more than a couple of drinks ... while the wine list prices looked like they were given in rupees rather than pounds!!

Delighted to hear you had an enjoyable dinner. Pricing is very carefully calculated to ensure we cover the costs of the premium produce we serve and to pay for the forty five members of staff that it takes to create The Three Chimneys experience every day here on Skye. More

Difficult to get a table, but triumphed with an early spot. Loved the Oysters on the bed of seaweed - dressed with apple - the best Oysters I've had. My partner is a 'meat and two veg' guy but even he raved about the food and the atmosphere. Not too stuffy and very friendly. Only tiny irritant was being abandoned... More

Visited here on Friday night, we were promptly shown to our table and our order taken, as well as being asked if everything on the menu made sense and if we had any questions about any of the menus or the food, which was a really nice touch. The food was lovely. The amuse bouche was really splendid and the... More

After wanting to come here for years, I finally managed to visit. We were promptly shown to our table and orders taken. Staff were excellent throughout. Felt a little rushed to begin with but soon settled down. The food was cooked to a high standard and everything tasted great. My only grumble is that the venison main had hardly any... More

We went here for our last night on the Isle of Skye. Definitely need to book well in advance this restaurant it is very popular for a good reason. Food and service is absolutely first class. Yes it's not cheap but it's worth it. It was a wonderful ending to a very memorable holiday on Skye.

Had been looking for an excuse to travel here and try the food for a while now. Firstly the service staff and the setting were superb, everything I expected. Food let our visit down which shocked me. I had the apple of the earth pre starter which in all my dining out was probably one of the best dishes I... More

The Three Chimneys Restaurant is one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants, set in a stunning location beside the sea in the north west corner of the Isle of Skye. Colbost is situated on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, a wide sea loch that opens into The Minch, the narrow stretch of sea between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The views are stunning whatever the time of year. The Three Chimneys is famous for specialising in the freshest local produce including wonderful seafood from the immediate coastal waters. the restaurant has been owned by husband and wife, Eddie and Shirley Spear, for 30 years. The couple bought the traditional stone-walled croft house in 1984 and developed the business into what it is today, with an amazing worldwide reputation. The Three chimneys has won countless awards and accolades, not least a Michelin star in 2104. Head Chef, Scott Davies and his Brigade of young chefs are passionate about preparing and cooking the finest ingredients available. Innovative dishes and exciting taste combinations are served by a professional young crew front-of-house, who pride themselves in delivering skilful. but friendly and welcoming service at all times. there is an excellent Wine List and cocktails and other bar beverages, including a good range of malt whisky, are served in the Lounge in the evenings to both house guests and restaurant customers alike.
