Called in here after walking from Kingshouse in Glencoe on the West Highland Way, if I could, I would award it 3.5 as I was torn between giving it 3 or 4. It's a local pub, everyone was friendly and although there were plenty of locals drinking at the bar (and why not?) we weren't made to feel like outsiders.... More

Been there a couple of times, first tiem a few years back with teen son, second time this year after doing the climb in the Ice Factor (see separate review). Materially, food etc. wise, both visits were identical, but the first was extremely memorable. First off, unless the Bothan at The Powerhouse has re-opened, it's the only hostelrie in Kinlochleven... The food was tasty after a hard day's walking but I visited with my young son and it had a definite pub feel to it with locals standing around the bar. Everyone was friendly enough but it may not be your first choice if you're with a young family, although it was a Friday night.

Average pub grub, friendly staff, average beer selection. Locals can be off putting. Has a good jukebox only on if sport not dominating the tv though

Stopped in for a coffee and bite to eat after walking about 8 miles on the west highland way. Lovely server, good filling food, dark room but the quiet was nice. We heard it gets quite raucous in the evening.

Food was very good. Came out hot and fast! I would recommend the steak and ale pie. The beer selection was excellent. A place were folks bring their dogs and all were well behaved.

We chose to eat at the Tailrace Inn as it was on our way back from a long walk. The bar was large and friendly. It was fun to see dogs in the place - not something you'd see in the US! Our food was reasonably priced and tasty. Would recommend. Thank you!

Great Inn at the end of the Kinlochleven path of the West Highland Way. Friendly staff and regulars. Clean big room and bathroom. Nice pub food to fuel up for the rest our walk.
