Just what was needed after a three hour trip out to see the whirlpool. Good cup of tea and hot chocolate. Just had chips and gravy/ curry but they hit the spot! Friendly staff who were very accommodating.

Used the Argyll Cafe for takeaway and couldn't fault the food. Service was a bit slow but the place was busy so probably just bad timing. Will I stuck to the traditional Fish Supper the menu was very impressive with spicy chicken fillets, burgers and pakora. All very reasonably priced.

Called in for a spot of lunch on the way to the Crinan Canal, I had a fish tea which was fantastic, beautifully cooked fish, great mushy peas, I've had fish teas and suppers in many places in Scotland but this was one of the best.

Never had a sit in meal but the takeaway is great. Not tried the whole menu but their burgers are awesome! Really good prices and friendly service. This place is so much better since Adriano took over

You get what you pay for, my husband had pie beans and chips, I had a baked potato, both nice and hot, and good portions. Waiter was pleasant and price reasonable, nothing to complain about.

I had a fish and chip lunch in here and the waitress was very off with me, in direct contrast to the foreign waitress who was doing the chip shop side of the business. I had fish and chips and was very surprised to find what I suspect to be frozen (with batter on) fish. There is just no need... More

I have been here so many times as everyone who lives here will know, Lochgilphead is fairly limited and I suppose we need to make do. The cashier was friendly enough she seemed quite happy to take our order, however there were some younger waiting staff in who were just, well ignorant to say the least. However my partner had... A long way from a good food experience. If you are serving un-peeled home made chips then you can't get away with leaving the outside black damaged portions. If you then add a very average (not made at home) meat pie then you cannot get away with slopping a ladle full of beans into the middle of the plate, mostly... More

Friendly service and excellent food. Light crispy batter, melt in your mouth fish and great chips. Yummy.
