We were recommended to visit by our BnB owners, who were spot on! We had panninis and soup, and great cake. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the little extras like some crisps to nibble on while waiting for our food and tap water provided without asking made an average lunch a bit more special. The place sells musical... More

Stopped in this cafe after visiting the castle. We had a coffee each which were both nice. The food looked good so had we been in Rothesay longer we probably would have returned for lunch. My partner particularly liked the jukebox which added to the atmosphere of the place.

Stepped into Musicker Cafe near the Castle for a Saturday lunchtime coffee & sandwich. We weren't disappointed. Serving staff were five star. Coffee was excellent. Toasted sandwiches were delicious. Music suited the atmosphere. No surprise that the café was packed.

Popped in as nothing else to do in Rothsey in Late October. Great Welcome and service by staff, Food tasty and reasonable value. May be too busy in peak season, a little cramped seating.

Superb idiosyncratic cafe. Veggie menu. Great soup, cakes and coffee. Also a music shop with jukebox and guitars for sale.

John and his busy always cheerful crew provide a super varied menu with wonderful unusual soups and filling snacks in the centre of Rothesay. With a cracking view of the castle this busy but ambient business also surprises with good background music, sometimes live, free wi fi and a good variety of books and guitar strings. Sadly not open Sundays... More

One of my favourite places for a snack in Bute. Even not being a vegetarian doesn't put me off. The service is always prompt and cheery, the selection of guitars, music and books are usually interesting. The food is always very tasty - just add a bit of bacon here or there and this place would be perfect!

Great value, and very tasty- I had the hummus and pesto panino which was delicious :) My sandwich was to take away and it came with a salad, which was perfect for me, and the coffee was nice too. Thanks Musicker!

On a day when Rothesay was busy with the Bute Highland Games, our party of 6 including 2 infants was happily accommodated. Food was great.

Sometimes when we're unsure where to eat we will ask a local. Two different people mentioned this cafe so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. It was busy, always a good sign. We were surprised at the large choice available on the menu I opted for the small platter, hummus olives & sundried tomatoes with lovely toast,... More

Musicker is a cafe/music retailer/bookshop set up in 2002 by Sue & John Dennis, to serve good coffee for the palate and good music for the ear. In the cafe we also stock music tablature, music CD's Canongate books and, of course, coffee, italian cakes and wonderful toasted paninis. We now make delicious and original soups and sandwiches, too.
