Many visits over many years; this IS ice cream as it used to be!! Excellent. Café itself is tiny and cramped.

This cafe looked quite cool from the street. Stopped for lunch, just off the ferry, with the family. It was small inside and lacking a good extractor, so chip fat clung in the air. We had toasters and bacon rolls..which weren't great, coffee was awful. Service was friendly enough but didn't go back.

Visiting Rothesay on a coach trip to Scotland, (staying in Dunoon,) I was delighted to be able to go 'back in time' when my friend and I visited Zavaroni's Cafe. It was merely a lunchtime snack we wanted, (a very tasty Toastie!) so when we walked into Zavaroni's I was immediately transported back in time.....I used to live in Scotland... More

We arrived at lunchtime and this tiny cafe was packed out. We only wanted icecream and were nt disappointed. It was no frills & all the more fantastic for it. You can bling it up with sauce & a flake but we enjoyed it without embellishment.
