This is a small town so you don't expect too much. But this restaurant is very good at real affordable price. A very nice stop at Arrochar

My partner and I stayed at the Village Inn en route to Skye from Stockport. We really liked it. The situation and views are lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was cosy, comfortable and clean. We had dinner in the bar. I had a lamb burger which I enjoyed and my partner had some delicious, succulent pork... More

If you're spending time in Arrochar you must pop in and grab a bite. The chicken and brie pie was delicious and the pub has a great atmosphere. The outdoor area looks like it would be awesome in warm weather. Highly recommended.

Visited on Friday 14.4.17 5 Adults and 1 child. The food was mediocre. One meal went back as it had so much cheese on it it was unedible. I was really disappointed as we have eaten here before and it used to be great. On a positive note the Staff were great.

What a dissappointment. After a fabulous day roaming the hills we stop at the Village Inn. We order a sharer plate of antipasto just two slices of each meat, stale bread, piccalilli? and various other sauces so hungry ate stale bread. After two attempts to order mains had to settle for chicken burger. Sweet fries burnt chicken ok but overall... More

The Village Inn was the place to eat. An opinion reflected by the majority of excellent reviews at the time. Taken over in late 2016 by a multi national company things have taken a down turn particularly in food quality. The food offering has become corporate & as such lacks individual flair & indeed flavour & does not reflect the... More

Visited with a large group for dinner. Service was good from the one waiter, but bar staff were slow with drinks and had to be reminded. Atmosphere a bit cold - shame the stove wasn't on as it was a bit chilly in the bar and it's not a particularly cosy room with a draught from the window. Lovely views... More

If it wasn't for the brilliant selection of gins and the good service this place would've gotten not a single credit as it apparently only serves ready made microwave / frozen food.
