Came again for our annual visit while we are using our timeshare at Cameron House. Have always raved about the fish and chips - hence the regular trips. This time a desperate disappointment. Instead of the usual crispy, crunchy batter it was flat and uninteresting. Clearly the fish had been cooked some before and had been sitting there for a... More

recently was here for lunch and very very disappointed and concerned if this is what we are offering tourists as a taste of Scotland Over priced poor quality food in the bar. £9 for 3 small slices of soggy battered haggis and limp chips vastly overpriced and poor value for money , £10+ for breaded fish that was burnt black... Well worth this deal, great battered fish and chips, you can even have breaded fish if you prefer and there is even tea or coffee thrown in for good measure.

My family and I stopped by here and whilst decor is nice and homely, when I asked if they could guarantee the food was vegetarian - soup - it was not and I had to stop a number of times o my way home to dash to the toilets. I was disappointed and exceptionally ill for 24 hours.

Lovely dinner enjoyed on two nights staying at the hotel. Tasty food and lovely staff who were very friendly and attentive. First night enjoyed chowder and minestrone soup to start and then chicken and mushroom pie and the baked cauliflower dish as mains. All very tasty and I liked their take on the pie with the ingredients all inside the... More

Attended for breakfast on my own as a non-resident. I have never been in the hotel before. Nobody serving in the bar area, and so I went through to the restaurant area. 2 waitresses on duty, in a reasonably quiet breakfast sitting. Sat for 15 minutes with nobody even approaching me. Waitresses passed right by me, cleaning tables and fixing... More

We ate here for 4 nights in November where we were also staying. Food was nice, lovely winter salad and smoked salmon chowder in particular. Lots of choice and fab service although I personally think the desserts were overpriced- £6 for ice cream?! Nice ice cream though!

Our family stopped off here for food on our way home from a weekend drive, I wish that we had kept driving. Service on the day that we stopped off was very disappointing - and to cap it all - after being assured by the manager in a dismissive manner that the soup was vegetarian and had no animal stock,...
