This particular location has the best tasting chicken of all. Its always fresh and hot when you order and has the perfect amount of spice even though i like to add the hot pepper sauce to mine. The service is great and the sides are very good my favorite are the mac and cheese slaw and baked beans. I love... More

Gus's fried chicken at other locations isn't the same. This place does it better and differently than the franchises. The coleslaw is not good. The beans are not good. The fried pickles are good. The beer is good. Order the Chicken! The chicken is fantastic! Everything else except the pickles isn't really worth having.

I was told that Gus's World Famous was the best chicken in Memphis. I went there with my daughter and what a disappointment. The chicken was not a golden brown, but a deep dark brown that you would get if over cooked or the fryer grease is in desperate need of being changed. The chicken was so greasy that just... More

This quite possibly might be the best fried chicken I've ever had. Crispy spicy and juicy. Great slaw beans and mac. Went around 11:30am and sat right down and the service was excellent and super fast. When I go back home I'll definitely go try the one in Detroit to see if it matches up.

This is the best fried chicken I might have ever had. Very very reasonable prices. Excellent sides. Had the slaw beans and mac.

The chicken never lets you down! This is my first visit to this location and the food and staff were great. The only issue is very little parking.

The food is delicious and hot. The only complaint for me is that they charged for extra ranch for the pickles. We had one very tiny ramekin, which was not enough for the order. I don't like it when servers fail to inform customers of extra charges for items.

Since my mom wont be reading this, I can say it was as good as my mom's. The spice on the chicken was great. My lips are still burning 30 minutes later. The baked beans were tasty. I even enjoyed the coleslaw. I dont normally eat coleslaw but this was good.

Truly the best fried chicken I've every had! Cold beer. Nice people. I will not waste calories on any other fried food! Best spicy chicken skin!
