This place was recommended by friends... It was good - But not the end all be all as described by friends. The burgers were good, the beer was good but pricey and the fries lacked! Still a decent old school kinda diner on a very cool street.

I wouldn't expect anything in Memphis to be healthy and this place isn't the exception. Apparently they deep fry the burgers in 100 year old grease. The patties are small so a double or triple is recommended of you're starving. Decent burgers and generous portion of fries. I'd eat here again.

Located on historic Beale St, this restaurant still resembles a soda fountain. The burgers are quite tasty and that grease is ancient! A great dive as well, after an evening on Beale.

100 year old restaurant, but looks like a 1950s vintage burger place. Burgers and shakes are very good.

My wife and I were walking between the parking deck and the forum and decided to try this place. It's really neat setting and the pan of grease was there for all to see. The burgers come with mustard, pickles and onions and are good but lots of grease. Fries are delicious too. If grease bothers you then probably not... More

They cook in 100+ year old grease. I must say it is the juiciest tastiest burger! Because of other reviews I thought I would get the chicken tenders while my husband got a burger. I would strongly suggest just sticking to the burgers! They are fabulous!!! The onion rings are great and the fries are too.

The burger was definitely tasty but a burger cannot be a burger W/O lettuce and tomato in my humble loving burger opinion so I feel they are flawed by not offering those items on burgers. I got two double doubles, though.
