First let me say most friendly service we had in our Memphis stay. They are welcoming and actually mean it. Would give the staff a 5. Their onion rings are among the best I have ever had and the French fries are fresh. The burgers are tasty but that much oil and grease is too much for the average person.... More

You cannot go to Memphis without trying here atleast once. You go in and seat yourself, and the staff is great. Try their deep fried pb&j, you won't regret it!

Loved the look/atmosphere of this place--it was a bit crowded with the Liberty Bowl fans getting ready for the parade. We each got the single patty burger w/cheese, and one of us got chili & cheese added to the fries. These burgers aren't fancy by any means, but they are tasty and they are a good value on Beale if... This place is ok but certainly nothing to write home about. Burgers are ok but but is cold and they didn't do anything with it. Fries are skinny and had no seasoning.

My wife and I were driving through Memphis in route to Knoxville. Of course, I wanted to rush through this 12-hour trip. My wife wisely convinced me against this thinking. She is smarter than me. We decided to stay the night in Memphis. We selected Hyatt – Germantown. Since we were here for one night, we wanted to check out... More

This place was recommended by friends... It was good - But not the end all be all as described by friends. The burgers were good, the beer was good but pricey and the fries lacked! Still a decent old school kinda diner on a very cool street.

I wouldn't expect anything in Memphis to be healthy and this place isn't the exception. Apparently they deep fry the burgers in 100 year old grease. The patties are small so a double or triple is recommended of you're starving. Decent burgers and generous portion of fries. I'd eat here again.

Located on historic Beale St, this restaurant still resembles a soda fountain. The burgers are quite tasty and that grease is ancient! A great dive as well, after an evening on Beale.
