Excellent food and service in a truly unique atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating to our young child’s request. Love all the salads. I tried the beet salad with shrimp. Absolutely delicious combination!

The Beauty Shop rarely disappoints! Went on second visit recently for romantic birthday dinner, and food is exquisite! Root vegetable/kale salad is amazing, special ravioli dish was superb, and their gelato (great selection) is a wonderful cap to it all. Service is excellent as well....More

A very good restaurant. Appetizers were average, entrees of whole fish and steak were excellent. But then we ordered cake. Four different kinds. All were amazing! This restaurant is not cheap but good quality

Unbelievably fabulous food!!! Best filet in Memphis! Loved the grilled romaine salad too. Fun atmosphere, but the food stood on it's own. Pricey, so best for a special night out.

My family and I have been for brunch. You must make a reservation. The place is very small, the food is decent.

We welcome kids! We do not have a separate children's menu, but we have several items on each of our menu that suit pickier eaters, and more adventurous eaters will find plenty of foods they'll enjoy.

Established in 2002. "Look Good. Eat Good." are the words emblazoned on the front windows at the Beauty Shop. This hip and trendy restaurant in the Cooper-Young district of midtown Memphis does both, as it conjures up images of a '50s-style beauty shop, formerly Priscilla Presley's curl-and-dye spot. It's a camp wonderland where the façade is Jetsons-era Vitrolite, and choice seating is offered beneath hooded Belvedere hair dryers. Nostalgia is served with a sense of humor here. The beauty shop flashback comes complete with original mint green wash basins filling in as sinks behind the hand built bar, made of tiger maple wood. The terrazzo floor is original. Glass brick stalls serve as intimate booths. Mixed with the retro renderings are modern touches such as hand-blown art-glass lights, and glamorous copper and silver-leaf walls. At this offbeat restaurant, the décor pays homage to the space's beauty parlor past, while the food offers flavors from around the globe.
